Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to welcome their first baby into the world. The couple, who got married in 2018 after dating for six years, announced their pregnancy with an adorable post featuring baby essentials in February. Ranveer and Deepika are ecstatic about their baby's arrival and are counting the days until the precious moment. For the uninitiated, Deepika is due in September 2024.

In the photo, we can see some beautiful gift boxes wrapped in minimalist brown paper along with a light blue string neatly tied on them. The strings had many elegant ceramic hangings, including fish, stars, and circles, in shades of blue and white. The brand page tagged Deepika in the post, hinting that the mommy-to-be has started preparing for the baby's arrival.

Netizens speculate Deepika and Ranveer will have a baby boy

Soon, the picture of the gift hampers was shared on Reddit, which led many netizens to speculate whether Deepika and Ranveer will have a baby boy. The selection of blue packaging left their fans amused, leaving them ecstatic. A user penned, "Omg, it’s so cute and beautiful though! I am in love with the blue packaging." Another user wrote, "Most likely that’s true. A similar thing happened at Alia’s baby shower. Everyone wearing pink was a giveaway." 

Deepika Padukone is not planning to resume work anytime soon

If the latest buzz is to be believed, Deepika Padukone might not resume work anytime soon. Earlier, a report in Times Now stated that Deepika rejected the third season of The White Lotus as she wants to be a 'hands-on' mom to her baby-to-be. The actress won't be returning to work anytime soon and will focus her time on nurturing her baby. The report also mentioned that Deepika would not hire any nannies for her child and won't even let Ranveer share the parental chores as she wants to do everything on her own.

Taking to her IG handle, on June 19, 2024, Deepika Padukone shared some pictures of herself as she got decked up for an event. She slipped into a black-hued bodycon dress with a halter neck. The mommy-to-be completed her look with smokey eye makeup, a low ponytail, and a stack of accessories. Deepika flaunted her grown baby bump and won all hearts. She was seen caressing her baby bump and looked the happiest. Along with the pictures, Deepika penned:

“Okay enough…Now I’m hungry!”
