Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in 2018 in Lake Como, Itlay. Now, the couple is counting the days to hold their first baby in their arms. For the uninitiated, Deepika and Ranveer announced the 'good news' in February 2024, and the actress' due date is in September 2024. Well, while the couple's fans are counting the days to get the greatest news of the arrival of the new member, a report suggested the possible date of the actress' delivery.
As per a recent report by News18 Showsha, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are eagerly waiting for their little bundle of joy to arrive and are busy setting up the space for their little one. A close source also revealed that Deepika may give birth to her baby on September 28, 2024, at a hospital situated in South Bombay, and she is currently enjoying her break. The source can be quoted as saying:

"Deepika and Ranveer are eagerly waiting for the upcoming chapter of their lives and are busy setting up a space for their baby. If things go as per plans, she will deliver the baby on September 28 at a hospital in South Bombay. At present, the soon-to-be mother is enjoying every bit of the break that she has taken from work.”
The close source also revealed that Deepika Padukone will take care of her child for a few months and then return to work in March 2025. If the report is to be followed, Deepika will start to shoot the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD after returning from her break. The source revealed:
"Her maternity leave will last till March of next year. And after that, she’ll immediately get busy with filming the sequel of Kalki along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas."
Earlier, several videos of Ranveer and Deepika's almost-finished home made rounds on social media. As per the reports, the couple might shift to their new home after the actress gives birth to her little one. Well, if that is true, then Deepika and Ranveer will be the neighbours of Shah Rukh Khan, who stays near the couple's new home in his alishan, Mannat. Earlier, a report by NDTV suggested that Ranveer had purchased a sea-facing apartment in exchange for Rs. 110 crore near Mannat.
In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Deepika Padukone was asked what she would like to do if she wasn't an actress. To this, she revealed that she was not sure, but hopefully, she would be around three children and have a happy family. On the other hand, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ranveer was asked about his plans to have kids, and whether he would like to be a father to a baby girl or a baby boy. The actor replied that he prefers feminine energy around him as girls are kinder, nicer, and more intelligent.
