According to a previous report by the Hindustan Times, Dev Anand’s iconic Juhu bungalow had been sold. It was the house where the actor had spent 40 years of his life along with his wife and children. Moreover, the bungalow had apparently fetched a massive sale value of Rs. 350- Rs. 400 crores. The report had further stated that a 22-storeyed tower would replace it. The report could be quoted as:
“Dev Anand’s Juhu bungalow has been sold to a real estate company. The deal is also done and paperwork is going on. It has been sold for approximately Rs.350-400 crores as it’s a prime location with bungalows of prominent industrialists in the locality. The place will now be replaced by a 22 floors long tower.”
The same report had also cited a plausible cause behind Dev Anand’s bungalow being sold, and had mentioned that the actor’s family, including his wife and children were unable to keep up with its maintenance, and as a result decided to sell it off. It also stated that the sale value of the property would get equally distributed between his wife, Kalpana and their kids, Suniel and Devina.
