Devoleena Bhattacharjee is in seventh heaven, both professionally and personally. The actress, who rose to fame with her role as 'Gopi Bahu' in Saath Nibhana Sathiya, is all set to welcome her first child. For quite some time, murmurs of Devoleena's pregnancy have been making rounds on the internet, but the actress refused to comment and revealed that she wants to keep her life private. However, in August 2024, she announced her pregnancy.
Devoleena is enjoying the new phase of her life, wherein she is busy growing a life inside her womb. Recently, in an interview with News18, Devoleena talked about motherhood. The actress, who worked on her birthday (August 20, 2024), revealed that it is the most special day for her every year, but this one was super special for her.

Devoleena further added that she is excited about her new journey into motherhood and has been preparing for herself. She was quoted as saying:
"It’s always been a special day for me. Every year has its own unique memories, but this one feels particularly extraordinary. I’m cherishing every moment of it. I’m excited about my new journey into motherhood. I’m preparing myself for it, and this birthday feels different and extra special for both me and my husband. The anticipation of what’s to come adds a new layer of joy and meaning to the celebration."
On August 25, 2024, Devoleena took to her Instagram handle and posted a series of photos from the Panchamrit ritual. This ritual is done to bless the pregnant woman and her baby. In the first photo, Devoleena was seen posing with her furbaby and her husband and looked gorgeous as she radiated the pregnancy glow. Devoleena was also seen holding a cutesy white onesie. Along with it, she wrote:
"Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life."

In 2022, Devoleena Bhattacharjee married Shanwaz Shaikh in a private ceremony attended by her close friends and family. However, a few months ago, murmurs of her first pregnancy made rounds on the internet. The actress even dropped hints of the same on her IG handle. For instance, in June 2024, Devoleena Bhattacharjee shared photos from the beachside on her Instagram feed.
Devoleena looked the happiest as posed by the beachside with a blue sky in the backdrop. However, her fans were quick to spot her baby bump. Not only this, but Devoleena's note left everyone guessing if she was hinting at her pregnancy phase. She expressed how she is awaiting the adventure. She wrote:
"Embracing the journey, one step at a time. #AdventureAwaits."
However, Devoleena was quick to react and denied it. In an interview with The Times of India, Devoleena dismissed her pregnancy murmurs and stated that she had been hearing about her pregnancy for the last six months. She added that while she wants to start a family of her own, these are just rumours. She added that when it happens and the time is right, she will announce it to the world.
On the work front, Devoleena is currently working on the show, Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, wherein she is playing the role of 'Chhati Maiyya'.
