The 'City Of Joy' must have been a little extra happy yesterday as actor-singer, Diljit Dosanjh graced it with his presence on November 30, 2024. Yes, Diljit's Dil-Luminati brought him to Kolkata yesterday. And it turned out to be a memorable occasion not just for his fans but those of Bollywood's Badshah , Shah Rukh Khan. Diljit shared an inspiring message based on the slogan of King Khan's IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders, and it earned a response from SRK himself.
On December 1, 2024, the day after his Kolkata concert, Diljit Dosanjh took to his Instagram handle with a message that would surely touch the hearts of Shah Rukh Khan fans, Kolkata Knight Rider supporters, and residents of the city in general. Diljit's powerful words were rooted in the slogan of SRK'S IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders - ' Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re .'
The actor-singer was all praises for the team tagline as well as SRK himself. Talking about the powerful message the slogan promoted, Diljit said:
"Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo Re. This is a very good tagline. This is of Kolkata knight riders. It was a very lovely tagline and specially as it is Shahrukh Khan sir's team, so it had to be good for us because we are sir's fans. So this is also a very good mantra that you should work hard, fight with yourself; and whether you win or not it is a matter of fact; it is our duty to give 100 percent. So if you work 100 percent then obviously there is no option left for winning."

Diljit Dosanjh was equally appreciative of Kolkata itself, recalling that it is known as "the city of joy." The Lemonade singer further expressed his sincere admiration for the many famous personalities that have come out of the city.
Diljit seems to consider them true gems and revealed that he was particularly impressed by Rabindranath Tagore. Narrating an anecdote he read about the late writer that he remembers even now, Diljit said:

"It is a matter of great pride for you that you have great personalities, be it spiritual leaders or Rabindranath Tagore ji. I was reading about them. I liked one thing about them. Someone said that if you have written your national anthem, then you should also write the world anthem. His reply was very lovely. He said that Guru Nanak Dev ji had already written it in the 15th century."
Diljit's Instagram post also included a caption that sweetly thanked Kolkata in the city's native language. Along with that, he penned the famous Bengali phrase, 'Tomake bhalobashi,' which when translated, means 'I love you.'
Not long after Diljit Dosanjh posted the clip referencing KKR's tagline, Shah Rukh Khan himself responded. The Jawan actor took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to extend his thanks to the singer for 'bringing joy to the city of joy.' Shah Rukh's tweet can be read as:
"Thank you for bringing joy to the City of Joy, @diljitdosanjh Paaji. I'm sure all at @KKRiders and their fans love the Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo reference. All the best and have a great tour… Love u."
