Divya Dutta is an Indian actress and model who mainly works in Hindi and Punjabi cinema. She debuted in Bollywood in 1994 with the film, Ishq Me Jeena Ishq Me Marna. Later, she played the lead character in the drama, Veergati. She is now mostly seen in supporting roles in various films and television dramas.
Divya Dutta recently opened up about her first meeting with Bollywood's bhaijaan, Salman Khan. She fondly recalled the times when the Dabangg star stood beside her during the ups and downs of her initial phase in Bollywood. Divya also shared interesting anecdotes about the superstar, Salman Khan.

Recently, in an interview with Lallantop, the Veer-Zara actress, Divya Dutta, revealed the sweet moments she shared with Salman Khan. Divya added that the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun star clicked numerous pictures of her.
Divya Dutta opened up about her first encounter with Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan and said that the meeting did not go the way she expected it to be. Elaborating on the incident, Divya said that her uncle announced a film, and she started preparing for the movie's muhurat in Punjab. When Divya asked her uncle if he had finalised a heroine, he responded, 'No.'
Hearing the answer, Divya became hopeful and entertained an idea. She thought she would sit in the front row, wearing a red dress, in the muhurat ceremony to get noticed by Salman Khan. Divya got her dress stitched accordingly and was super excited for the moment. But, unfortunately, Salman Khan did not even glance at her once. Divya playfully expressed that it was very disheartening for her. However, she was able to click a few pictures with the superstar.

Divya's wish was fulfilled when Salman Khan finally noticed her during the shoot of the film Veergati, in which Divya portrayed the role of Salman's sister. In a scene where Divya faced difficulty breathing during the character's death, Salman Khan stepped in to help her.
As a protective guide, Salman Khan instructed Divya very calmly for the scene. He closed the car door and explained to her how to act in the scene. Acknowledging Divya's trait of claustrophobia, he said:
"I am sitting next to the camera. Just follow my lead. I will count for you, and I will do it with you."
This caring nature of the superstar amazed Divya. Salman placed himself in a position from where he could see Divya while shooting. He counted one to ten, and Divya used to hold her breath for that time. Thus, he made the scene easy for her. The Sheer Qorma actress also remembered when Salman Khan insisted on her clicking pictures of herself. Salman took amazing photos of her in the beautiful remote location of the shooting. Later, Salman Khan sent her T-shirts and cups featuring her pictures.
Divya Dutta expressed her gratitude to superstar Salman Khan for the immense support she received at the beginning of her career.
