Further, Divya recalled her pre-school days and mentioned that she was admitted to a Punjab government school. Moreover, she narrated an incident from when she was around 4 or 5 years old. She stated that both her parents were doctors and very sophisticated. However, one day, when her father asked her what she learnt in school, Divya abused him with some cuss words that she had learnt from the mischievous kids from her hometown. Soon, her parents understood that she needed to be shifted for a better upbringing and sent her to Delhi, at her aunt’s place, from where she continued her education.
During the same conversation, Divya also opened up about having two infatuations in her life. However, she called it the tragedy of her life. Calling Salman Khan her ‘Prem', she shared that she was made the on-screen sister of both of the heroes, including Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, on whom she had a crush. Divya mentioned that they became friends later. She added:
“I had two infatuations in my life. Dono ka hi mujhe Behan bana dia gaya. It was the tragedy of my life. I mean, of course, but they are beautiful friends now. But there was an infatuation phase where you feel so good. So Salman for me was Prem. So you could not be the sister there. But I was new. It was my second film. So working with Salman was exciting for me. And I must say what a revelation he was. Because he was very helpful on the set. And what do you call it? To look over. One him, one Shahrukh. And I think they were exceptional co-stars that I had.”
