Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya is one of the most loved and famous actresses in the Indian television industry. Whether it was Vidya Pratap Singh of Banoo Main Teri Dulhann or Ishita Bhalla from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Divyanka has always managed to touch everyone’s heart with her outstanding portrayal of different characters. Fans went crazy when on July 8, 2016, their Ishima (as her character was lovingly called), tied the knot with her co-star from the show, Vivek Dahiya.
No matter how successful Divyanka gets in her career, she is going to be her mom, Neelam Tripathi’s little pari all her life. The cordial, emotional, loving and caring bond that she shares with her mum is just like all of us. In fact, Divyanka has been quite open about how major influence her mother had in her life. Now, Divyanka’s mother Neelam has given her one of the most precious gifts to her darling daughter. Well, she has established an art academy in their hometown, Bhopal, in affiliation with one of India's critically acclaimed ace dancer, Dr Lata Munshi. But what made her even happier was the name of the institute that Neelam ji had kept after Divyanka’s name, that could be read as, Divyanka Art Academy.
Talking about this happy news, Divyanka told a leading portal, "It's an absolute honour & I couldn't be prouder of my mother for initiating & executing something that had been on her mind for the longest time now.” And further added, "For me, my mother is my biggest inspiration. At an age when women are retiring, she wanted to rejuvenate herself and learn something new. And now with this academy, there's so much more to come." Talking about her mother, Divyanka had once talked in length with the India Today. Revealing that she always pushed her and her siblings to try out new things. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star had further added, “She would never overtly pamper us or be over-protective about things, in fact she would encourage us to step out of our comfort zones and participate in different kinds of activities. Even though I was interested in learning new things, at times I would get laidback. But I have never seen her stopping; she would constantly push us towards our goal and enrolled us in multiple activities. I was attending hundreds of classes thanks to of her and learning innumerable things. She would ask us to even pursue things we have lesser inclination for, saying we would end up learning something from it.”
Divyanka had gone to share that she always aspires to be like her as her mother Neelam ji is a multi-tasker. Div (as she is fondly called) had retorted, “My mother has been a multi-tasker and I aspire to be like her. She wasn't of course born with these qualities but acquired them over the period of time because of her situations at home. From plumbing, electric work to carpentering, she knew it all.” (Do Read: Deepika Padukone's Mother, Ujjala Padukone Tries Her Stint In Acting, Shares A Video On Mother's Day)
She had further gone to add, “Even now, she keeps evolving herself and keeps learning new things. Now that all her children are well-settled, Papa, mumma go on a trek, and other things. My mother is training in Bharatnatyam for the last seven years. My parents are in their early sixties, but in a way life has started for them now.”
Once in an earlier interview, Vivek talked about his ladylove and had said, ‘’She manages her personal and professional life really well. That she does it beautifully and effortlessly. Sometimes I have to look out for her so that she gives some time for herself to sleep. She can compromise on all those things to balance it out. I feel guilty but it is not something that many would do for their partners.’’
Divyanka too shared the importance of Vivek’s presence in her life and was quoted as saying, “He completes me as a person. I met him in a phase of my life when I was very negative, but he was not like that. Every time I would worry about not getting work in future, he would say, ‘Even if you don’t work I will work and everything will be fine’.”
Revealing how love brewed between them, Vivek had once retorted, “It wasn’t love at first sight. It was an arranged match. We were introduced by a common friend who is also a fellow actor. Then we started looking at each other from a life partner’s perspective. We often met after work and eventually started understanding that we are very compatible and similar to each other and we can take it further.” (Checkout: Deepika Singh's Mother's Day Wish For Her Mother-In-Law And Mom Is Full Of Gratitude, Picture Inside)
When asked about their family planning, Divyanka had once remarked, “It's not about the rampage. I can work with a fracture, slip disc, and even a baby in my womb. But we still need to go for our honeymoon. We need to explore our romantic lives.” And had further added, “Not planning a family. Not now for sure. I don't have time. Nurturing and taking care of a baby is a very important job, much more important than a Prime Minister and a President's work. If I do it, I would like to give 100 per cent to my baby. Let's see how it goes.”
