We have come across many celebrities, who have battled their way through depression and have emerged victorious. Deepika Padukone and Shaheen Bhatt are examples from the glamour world who have fought with depression and have been vocal about their experience with it. Divyanka Tripathi, who is known for many of her famous characters recently bid adieu to her show, Yeh Hai Mohabattein in which she portrayed the role of Ishita Bhalla and made her place in the hearts of people. The show has given her a lot of experience and exposure and not to forget the love of her life, her husband, Vivek Dahiya. The duo had first met on the sets of the show and are now one of the cutest couples of the television industry. Divyanka too couldn’t stay aloof from having a mental breakdown and faced depression while she was working on the show.
Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, recently, in an interview with SpotboyE, opened up on her battle with depression and how her hubby, Vivek Dahiya helped her overcome it. Talking about whether their scenes together helped them build attraction towards one another, Divyanka revealed, “Not at all. We are so focused on our work that dating our co-actors would have never come to our mind. If others didn't put this seed in our mind, we would have never dated each other or for that matter, any other co-actor on YHM sets. We are thankful to a lot of people who really pushed us for being together. Yes, it was one seed, but it bloomed and how.”
Answering the question, “You have been very vocal about the lowest phase of your life, and your fight with depression, so, how did Vivek help you during this time?” Divyanka said, “Vivek has helped me in ways unknown to many. He has redeemed my soul and uplifted me, unimaginably. I underwent major depression, undermined my abilities and thought I am not worthy of a lot of things and especially, love. People said I am running number one, but I didn't feel it. He instilled that love for myself in me, reminded me who I was, and what I was capable of. I was not even harnessing what I had and was not valuing myself enough. I am really thankful to him for that. If it wasn't for him, I would have not been what I am today. It had nothing to do with my breakup with Sharad Malhotra, in particular, but I think I just needed him, and he came like an angel in my life.” (Must Read: Kalki Koechlin Reveals Her Family's Reaction On Knowing Her Decision To Have A Baby Out Of Wedlock)

It's about the #RightSoul your soul can connect with! Thank you @vivekdahiya for engaging with me on this day 4 years back. We managed to keep it under wraps for two-three months until this day, that's how much we loved each other that we didn't want any forces to tear us apart until our destinies got sealed together forever! Divyanka Tripathi had added ‘Dahiya’ to her surname after tying the knot with Vivek Dahiya on July 8, 2016. In a throwback interview with the DNA, Divyanka and Vivek had revealed their journey from being co-stars to friends and finally soulmates. When asked about his first impression on her, Divyanka had replied, “I had done a small scene with him and we were barely speaking to each other. Since I had no intention of having a relationship with him, I did not give him much of a thought.” Vivek, on Divyanka’s first impression on him, had retorted, “We were in the same show but we never interacted with each other. I had not done any scenes with her for a long time, but I could guage by her body language and from people around her that she was respected as a performer and a person. Always draped in a sari, I thought she was the Tulsi of today.”
Reminiscing the moment when they had thought they he/she is the one for her/him, Vivek Dahiya had remarked, “When a co-actor suggested that Divyanka and I should meet as both of us were single, my first reaction was 'What!' I had never thought of having an arranged marriage because I feel in today's times you need to take your time, know a person and not rush into it. But he insisted that we at least go for a coffee and we did. We had met with the perspective of seeing other as a life partner and in the first meeting itself I was largely convinced that she is the one for me. But I decided not be hasty about it.” And Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya had recalled, “The first time we met, the breeze of love had started blowing and by the third-fourth meeting it had taken us by storm. I realised we are meant to be together. Vivek is a positive person who pulled me out of a major low that I was going through.” (Must Read: Kalki Koechlin Opens Up On Developing A Friendly Bond With Ex-Husband, Anurag Kashyap)
