Drake Confirmed His Relationship Status On Stage, Does This Declaration Have A Shakira Connection?

Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly referred to by his stage name, Drake, is one of the leading vocalists in the music industry. The One Dance singer has, time and again, made it to the headlines for his impeccable music and rapping. The 36-year-old rapper has often credited himself as a lover boy and has always lived up to the tag with his numerous high-profile relationships. 

For the unversed, Drake had a string of relationships with A-listers like Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Keshia Chante, Julia Fox and so on. However, it is being speculted that the certified lover-boy of West is finally planning to get into a serious relationship with none other than Colombian singer, Shakira. The duo were spotted leaving a party together late at night back in August 2023, and the rumours of them dating have been doing rounds ever since.

Drake announced that he is single and ready to mingle live during his concert

Drake was in the US performing for his album, Its All A Blur tour when he took to the stage to communicate with the audience. During the interaction, Drake announced to the crowd that he is single and ready to mingle. The later part of the announcement made the crowd cheer the loudest. This announcement came right in after his romance speculations with Shakira surfaced. So, does this announcement has anything to do with the Colombian vocalist? Drake further added:

"I'm so glad I am single, ready to mingle, by the way, ready to mingle."

Shakira’s connection to Drake’s single-ready-to-mingle announcement 

Drake and Shakira sparked dating rumours as the duo were seen leaving a party together late at night. An eye-witness later reported that the two left one after the other at 3:00 a.m. and were all smiles as they exited. While Shakira looked radiant in her bright orange corset top and denim, Drake looked dapper in signature cargo pants and a blue jacket. Not much is known about their romance, but the two definitely spiked the netizen’s interest.

Drake once revealed that celebrities don’t intrigue him

This isn’t the first time Drake has opened up on his personal life. The rapper on Bobbi Althoff’s podcast, The Real Good, revealed that he won’t ever be marrying a celebrity as they don’t intrigue him. He also added that at this stage of his life, he isn’t ready for a relationship and his career is his priority. Drake further divulged:

"I probably will not end up marrying someone famous. Famous people really aren't that, like, anything. They're not that intriguing."
