Television's soap opera queen, Ekta Kapoor, who has been ruling the industry with her superhit serials, is soon going to be a mother for the second time. In 2019, Ekta surprised the world when she announced the arrival of her first child via surrogacy. Her purpose of living was completed with the arrival of her son, Ravie. Something in Ekta changed when she embraced motherhood; in fact, her life started revolving around her little miracle.
A recent report by BollywoodLife revealed that Ekta is soon going to be a mom for the second time. A source close to the producer shared that it is her five-year-old son, Ravie, who feels to have a need for a sibling. And Ekta, who knows the joy of having a sibling, understands the emptiness her son feels. The source revealed:
"Ekta's son Ravie Kapoor is 5 years old and she feels he needs a sibling, as Ekta has lived that life. Tusshar Kapoor and she share the greatest bond as siblings and they always each other's back. And Ekta feels that Ravie her elder son shouldn't have the emptiness of a sibling bonding and she has thought of welcoming another baby soon."

The source also revealed that Ekta is a loving and responsible member of her family, and her parents respect all her decisions. The source also added that her fans should wait for the official announcement of the new Kapoor baby.
On January 26, 2024, Ekta Kapoor hosted a grand bash for her son, Ravie Kapoor's fifth birthday, which was attended by several B-town celebrity kids. Ekta looked stunning in a black-hued floral co-ord set. In one of the rare pictures, Ekta was seen carrying her son in her arms, who looked at the paps. We also spotted Kareena Kapoor Khan's son, Jehangir, exiting the venue with his nannies.

For those who don't know, Ekta Kapoor has been waiting to embark on the journey of motherhood for the past seven years and has tried various methods over the years, but nothing has worked. In one of her Instagram posts, she thanked her doctor, Nandita Palshetkar, an IVF specialist. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her doctor, who helped in the process after announcing the birth of her son.
In an interview with News 18, Ekta talked about her reaction when she got to know that the surrogate had conceived. She shared that it was on her birthday, she was informed that the surrogate had conceived. She expressed how everything fell into place. She was quoted as saying:
"When I knew that the surrogate had conceived, and it was on June 7. On my birthday I got to know. I was a bit overwhelmed. I was like 'Okay this is happening. This is going to be a huge responsibility. I just wrote a show out which is going to be with an A-list Bollywood actress. It's called Mentalhood. It's about motherhood and every time we did the scripting about the Momzillas and the pressure you go through, the guilt you go through, tiger moms, helicopter moms, I was constantly feeling overwhelmed. But now I have realised that I have a lot of guilt even now."
