The 'He-Man' of Bollywood, Dharmendra, has always been the quintessential hero of Indian cinema. Born as Dharam Singh Deol, he is one of the few actors, who have over 100 successful films to his credit. He has given us some splendid performances in movies like Phool Aur Pathar, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Resham Ki Dori, Sholay and many more.
Voted amongst the ten most handsome men in the world in the 70s, the Punjab Da Puttar had fallen madly in love with the southern beauty, Hema Malini, while he was already married to Parkash Kaur. With his first wife, Parkash Kaur, Dharmendra has four kids, Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta and Ajeita. And with Hema Malini, he has two daughters, Esha and Ahana.

On December 8, 2021, Dharmendra turned 86, and his daughter, Esha, penned an adorable birthday wish for him. Posting pictures with her papa, Esha wrote:
"Happy birthday papa…be happy, healthy, strong & fit. I love you. Stay blessed… U are our strength."
On the other hand, Dharmendra's elder son, Sunny Deol and younger son, Bobby Deol, wished in the most adorable manner. While Sunny wrote, "Happy Birthday PAPA love you." Bobby captioned his post as:

In an interview with Bombay Times, the heartthrob of the entire nation, Dharmendra had revealed why he doesn’t like having a grand celebration on his birthday. He had shared:
“Maa bhagwan hoti hai. Jab khushi dene wali nahi rahi, toh kaise manau janam din? Bas rasme nibha leta hoon aur tanhai mein maa ko yaad karke ro leta hoon. Woh jab thi tab mere janam din par halwa banati thi.”

Did you know Dharmendra was against the idea of Esha Deol Takhtani becoming an actress? Hema Malini and Esha Deol Takhtani had appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote her book, Amma Mia. On the show, Hema Malini had revealed that Dharmendra was against Esha’s decision of becoming an actor. Hema Malini had shared:
"Esha was interested in extracurricular activities such as sports and dance. Like in our house, we used to do dance practice because of which she started liking it and wanted to be a professional dancer and even make her career in Bollywood. However, Dharam ji didn’t like her daughter dancing or making her Bollywood debut and he had an objection to that."
