India is known to be the house of many festivities and celebrations that are absolutely unique to our culture and tradition. A baby shower ceremony or most commonly known as the godbharai ceremony is one such event which celebrates the mother-to-be ahead of the birth of the child-to-be, and the pregnant lady is treated with lots of love, showered with blessings and fed her favourite food. However, there a few mommies-to- in recent times who change the traditional manner of celebrating the same and try to incorporate happy twists to the same. Esha Deol, was one such mother-to-be who had opted for a unique style to celebrate her godbharai along with hubby, Bharat Takhtani.
Well, what we meant by adding happy twists was given an altogether different dimension by Esha Deol, when she planned to get re-married to her husband, Bharat Takhtani in a thorough traditional way on her godbharai ceremony. The festivity kickstarted everything like a real wedding from scratch, and respecting traditional rituals, the couple flagged off with a Tel Kumkum ceremony. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Esha had opened up on the same and mentioned:
“It was a wonderful ceremony with just Bharat's and my families in attendance. Everyone present performed the 'tel kumkum'. As part of the rituals, Bharat and I took three pheras around the fire. I joked with Bharat that he was stuck with me again."

The dashing daddy-to-be, Bharat opted for a simple white-hued kurta-pyjama teamed with silver mojris. However, it was Esha’s look that stole hearts. Esha wore a custom designed Anarkali designed by Esha’s favourite designer of all times, Neeta Lulla, who had prepared a draft sketch of her outfit ahead of time. It featured a high-low A-line hemline and featured stunning gold motifs all over it. She teamed it with a matching dupatta which she neatly pinned on one side and styled its latter part as a veil over her head. Glossy makeup, traditional jewellery pieces and her pregnancy glow added stars to her look. Moreover, her full-grown baby bump was unmissable.
Further in the interview with Pinkvilla, Esha opened up on one of the most-unique rituals of her second marriage, that involved two of the most important men in her life, Dharmendra and Bharat. With such a grand event at hand, it was surely kept up with an impressive guest list as well. In one of the pictures shared by Esha herself from one of the most memorable days of her life, we could spot Neeta Lulla, Jaya Bachchan and many of Esha and Bharat’s friends taking part in the splendour.
What stood out the most from all the event was the lavish decoration arranged for the godbharai ceremony. Paying homage to Esha’s South Indian roots, the venue was decked in a typical Tamil style, full with floral strings, bell-metal ornaments and a modern twist with a red-carpet for everyone to pose and create memories.
