Every girl plans every detail of her wedding. From the latest lehenga to the most stunning jewellery, a girl dreams about her wedding day since childhood. But when the moment finally nears, she starts preparing herself for a new life. But the one thing that she could never prepare herself is her vidaai moment. For any girl, the thought of leaving her parents and her home, where she spent some beautiful years of her life is unimaginable. And an exact similar emotion is experienced by the parents as well, who can never imagine their little angel leaving them. Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s daughter, Esha Deaol had always wanted to get married to someone, who is as handsome as her father. Her dream had gotten fulfilled when she had tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart, Bharat Takhtani on June 29, 2012. The couple is enjoying their marital life with their two little angels, Radhya Takhtani and Miraya Takhtani. In a recent episode of Indian Idol 12, Esha recalled one of the most emotional moment of her life, i.e., her vidaai. The stunning actress also revealed how her mother, Hema Malini couldn’t hold back her tears.
Recently, Hema Malini graced the reality show, Indian Idol 12 as a special guest and it was her daughter, Esha Deol, who had a heartfelt video for her mother. In the video, Esha recalled her vidaai moment and revealed how her mom, Hema ji kept a strong face throughout the ceremony. The doting daughter also revealed how Hema ji couldn’t hold back her tears once Esha had left and burst out crying on phone. In her words, “Jab meri shaadi ho rahi thi, ghar chhod ke jaana padta hai, woh bohot hi tough moment tha mere liye. Bidaai ka samay tha, mummy ekdum strong thi. Lekin jab main gayi, tab phone aaya mummy ka aur zor se ro rahi thi mummy.”
Esha made Hema ji emotional by reminiscing her vidaai ceremony and also heaped praises on her revealing that she worships Hema ji. Esha stated, “Main bas yeh hi kehna chahungi ki aaj jo main hoon, as Esha Deol for everyone, is because of you. I worship you, I respect you, I love you.” After seeing the video, Hema ji was moved to tears and said, “She is my lovely baby. Esha and Ahana. She is always with me. In an unseen video from Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani’s wedding, we had gotten a glimpse of her vidaai wherein we could see an emotional Deol family and an inconsolable Dharmendra. Speaking about his jaan, Esha ahead of her vidaai, the doting father had said, “Esha meri jaan hai, meri bahaut pyaari beti hai. Betiyan badi hoti hai to unke liye fikr badhti hai ki achha ladka dhundha jaaye toh humein accha ladka mil gaya. Ab shaadi ho gayi hai ab vidai ho jayegi toh lagta hai ki paal pos ke bada karte hai fir ek din paraye ghar chali jaati hai.”

Do you know that Esha Deol was quite casual when she had introduced her then-beau, Bharat Takhtani to her parents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra? In an interview with the Filmfare, Esha had recalled the same and had said, “I called out to her and said, ‘Mama, come up! I’ve something to show you’. Mom came up to my floor, casually playing with the dogs, unaware of what was in store. Then I introduced her to Bharat. Both being Librans, hit it off instantly!” Revealing about her dad, Dharmendra’s meeting with Bharat, Esha had said, “Papa and Bharat sat alone and chatted for an hour.” Bharat had continued, “Dharamji’s seen life. He listed a few things and asked whether I’d be able to fulfil those. I’ve turned more responsible after that meeting.
