Bollywood actress, Esha Deol has been a part of the industry for a long time. The actress has undoubtedly come a long way in showbiz and had her fair share of ups and downs in her acting career. Currently, Esha is beaming with happiness as her short film, Ek Duaa got a special mention at the 69th National Awards in the Non-Feature Films Category. In one of her latest interviews, the actress recalled her acting career and admitted to missing out on some films.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Esha Deol revealed that if she names the films that she passed on over the years, people would throw slippers at her. Reflecting on the same, she shared that she rejected Rohit Shetty’s film, Golmaal. Esha further added that she even turned down an opportunity to work with Vishal Bhardwaj in the film, Omkara, following which they roped in Bipasha Basu for the role. Sharing that she now regrets doing the same, Esha said:
“I regret passing on Golmaal. If I name all the films that I passed on, people would want to throw a slipper at me. But honestly speaking the people who went on to do those films and those characters have done a fantastic job. I even rejected Omkara. I was asked for the role that Bipasha Basu ended up playing, but she was absolutely… she justified that role. I am glad she did it, she was so good.”

Esha Deol broke many barriers when she became the first daughter from the Deol family to enter the film industry. Not many know that Esha's father, Dharmendra was against the idea of her acting in films when she was just eighteen. However, she somehow convinced her father to allow her to act in films. Recently, in an interview with the Bombay Times, Esha was asked about the reason Dharmendra didn't want her to enter films and the loving daughter shared that her father was protective of her. The actress also added that Dharmendra is an orthodox Punjabi male, who deeply cares about the women in his family.
In her personal life, Esha Deol is happily married to the love of her life, Bharat Takhtani, and the duo is blessed with two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Esha opened up about being a working mom and maintaining a work-life balance. Talking about the same, the loving mommy revealed how she manages to take care of her home and work at the same time. Mentioning that she chose such a path for herself, Esha added that she tries to sustain her passion for acting while raising her daughters, Radhya and Miraya.
