Daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra, Esha Deol is one of the most renowned actresses in B-Town. Over the years, she left the audience impressed with her stunning performances in many Hindi films. Despite being a star kid, Esha managed to carve a niche for herself in the industry successfully. The actress has been a part of movies like Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Dhoom, Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa, Churra Liya Hai Tumne, and others.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Esha Deol opened up about her journey in Bollywood and revealed how Aditya Chopra selected her for the film, Dhoom. Responding to the same, Esha shared an incident from her selection and revealed that she had to take her mother, Hema Malini’s permission to wear a bikini in the film. However, she was surprised to see Hema's casual and cool reaction to the same. Esha said:
“He said that you will have to wear a bikini, so are you ready to do that? So I said just give me one day, let me take permission from my mom whether I can wear a bikini. Then I came home and asked her. I was very scared when I was asking her. Her reaction was very different. She was like yeah, wear. What is in that? You wear it with your friends or when you go on holiday. But, make sure it’s shot nicely. So I went back and told him.”

Further in the conversation, Esha also added that she was asked to gain a certain shape to wear a bikini onscreen. So, she decided to work on herself and with the help of her trainer, Satya managed to nail the scene completely. Talking about the same, she said:
"I told Aditya about it. He said 'I'm giving you six months, you've to look in a certain way. Will you be able to do it?' I said yes. I have the best trainer Satya, who I still train with. And he is someone who has helped me get back in shape. And that's how it happened."
Esha Deol made her acting debut with the film, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochle in 2002. During the same conversation, the actress was asked if her parents’ stardom pressurised her before she joined the industry. Responding to the same, Esha said that she was naive at that time and revealed how she was taken aback when she read articles about her performance being compared to her mother's, who is a veteran actress. In her words:
“I didn’t know till it happened. I was only 18 when I started acting, and at that age, you are very naïve, very excited, you’re gonna act and all that is there. When you see certain things and you’re reading some article, then you realize they are comparing my first movie’s performance to my mom who’s done maybe more than 200 films.”

Esha Deol also shared her thoughts on the much-talked-about topic of nepotism in Bollywood. The Hunter actress shared that people have been using it as a weapon to demean somebody and slammed the trollers for hampering someone mentally. Sharing the details, she said that she has been in this industry for more than 20 years now, but for someone new, it can hamper them mentally.
