Developed in 1934 by Dr George Harrop at Johns Hopkins University, this diet helps in losing up to 3 to 4 kgs in just 4 days. Yes, that’s right.
Originally, it was developed for diabetic patients, but now it has turn out to be a fad diet touted and acknowledged for its potential to quickly lose weight. Basically, banana-milk diet as the name itself says is all about eating only bananas and drinking milk. The main idea behind this special diet was to consume lesser calories than usual, yet not sacrificing health. This is a simple diet plan that goes like this:
Breakfast: 2 Bananas and 1 cup (250 ml) of warm skimmed milk
Mid-Snack: Drink 3 glasses of water
Lunch: 2 Bananas and 1 cup (250 ml) of warm skimmed milk

P.S.: You can either prepare banana shake or can have them separately.
Two things helping you lose weight, it’s strange, no? But guys, there is maths behind it! Yes, that’s right. Anyone who follows this diet rigorously will be eating less than 1000 calories in a day, which eventually helps in quick weight loss. There is a maximum of 100 calories in a single medium-sized banana and 80 calories in a cup of skimmed milk (250ml). So, 6 bananas equals to 600 calories in a day and 3 cup skimmed milk equals to 240 calories in a day. All in all, you will be consuming not more than 900 calories.
