Zhang Yixing, better known by his stage name, Lay Zhang, is a multihyphenate personality. The Chinese actor, dancer, singer, rapper, and songwriter is a part of the South Korean-Chinese boy band, EXO, and its Chinese sub-unit, EXO-M. He first stepped into the world of glitz and glam in 1998 and still continues to woo people with his various skills.

Apart from his professional front, much is not known about his personal life, given he is a part of the South Korean entertainment industry. However, a recent report regarding the whereabouts of Zhang led to speculations of a romantic relationship with one of the most popular Chinese actresses.

EXO member, Lay Zhang gets embroiled in dating rumours with the Chinese actress, Zhao Lusi

As per a report by Koreaboo, on January 31, 2024, the Chinese paparazzi reported that EXO member, Lay Zhang’s car was spotted alongside Zhao Lusi’s car in the parking lot of a hotel. It was reported that two celebrities left the hotel within a 10-minute time difference. This led to dating rumours between the two, resulting in their names trending on the Chinese microblogging site, Weibo.

Who is Zhao Lusi?

For those who don’t know, Zhao Lusi is one of the big names in the Chinese entertainment industry. She debuted in showbiz in 2017 and has been a part of some of the most popular Chinese dramas. However, her role in the 2023 C-drama, Hidden Love, shot her to immense fame across the globe. Some of her other projects include Untouchable Lovers, Oh! My Emperor, Cinderella Chef, Prodigy Healer, Who Rules The World, The Long Ballad, and many more.

EXO member, Lay Zhang’s agency denies the rumours of a romantic relationship with Zhao Lusi

After the reports of a romantic relationship made rounds in the media, Lay Zhang’s agency came forward to clarify the whole situation. On February 1, 2024, the EXO member’s agency officially announced that the idol did not meet with the Chinese actress, Zhao Lusi in a hotel. The agency also said the Lay is focused on his career and has no plans of dating. The statement mentioned:

“The dating allegations are rumours, and Lay is focused on his promotions. He has no plans of dating.”
