Earlier, in an interview with Maniesh Paul in his podcast, Farah Khan recalled the difficult times she had to go through after the death of her father, Kamran Khan, in her childhood. The filmmaker revealed how she and her brother, Sajid, struggled to arrange finances even for their father's funeral. Talking more about the same, Farah shared that she and her brother started indulging in dark humour, which gave them solace. Mentioning how they began to make fun of the guests who arrived at their father’s funeral, Farah shared:
“About a week or two after our father’s passing, we found solace in dark humour. We began to make fun of the people who came to the funeral noting how some of them appeared very fake and all that was running in their mind was finding a place to play cards. This kind of humour played a crucial role in helping us cope during challenging times. Otherwise, it’s easy to succumb to depression.”
