Fardeen Khan is back in the film business and winning hearts with his comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi. The actor has been away from the acting world for the past 14 years, but he left a strong mark in the hearts of his millions of fans, and his recent performances looked as if he never went away. However, for him staying away from his kids is quite difficult. Recently, he breaks down talking about the same.
Just like mothers who go through immense amounts of mom guilt, fathers also face the same level of daddy guilt to not be present around their kids. Recently, he sat for an interview with Filmfare, wherein the editors asked him how he was handling long-distance parenting. Upon hearing the question, Fardeen was left emotional, he tried his best to control his tears.
Fardeen stated that it is extremely tough to handle long-distance parenting. Judging by his voice, we can clearly see that he misses his kids, Diani and Azarius, who are in London. He added that being a father was important for him. He said:
"Not being a part of their everyday life is difficult. It's tough. You've got holidays and phones. Thank God for Facetime and Zoom. Fortunately, I have a very strong bond with my children. That's special."
Fardeen has admitted that he was addicted to drinking in his younger days. But he quit drinking as he wanted to raise his kids better. Fardeen added that he had a dysfunctional family, which he grew up in, due to which he took to alcohol to distract himself. It was a risky life, and he always lived on the edge. He said:
"I had to grow up very quickly, due to the dysfunction in which I grew up in. There were aspects of myself I had to shut down. I compensated and distracted myself. There was alcohol and hedonism. I lived a risque life and was on the edge. My dad said I was burning the candle from both ends. I wanted these distractions but it all catches up. That's what I have learnt. You can't escape it."
Fardeen Khan tied the knot with Natasha Madhwani, the daughter of Mumtaz, in 2005. When Fardeen Khan's father passed away in 2008, he took time off during the same period when he was keen on starting a family with his wife. However, they faced a lot of challenges as they opted for IVF. They even had a bad experience with doctors in Mumbai, and his wife suffered a lot.

Fardeen Khan shifted his base to London to be with his wife, Natasha, as they consulted doctors. However, God had another plan; they had twins during one of their initial pregnancies, and his wife lost them at six months. After which, Fardeen tried to stay with her, and now, they are parents to two adorable kids.
