Bollywood actor, Fardeen Khan is the son of the late legendary actor, Feroz Khan and his wife, Sundari Khan. Feroz was one of the most remarkable actors in his generation, and his stints in films like Qurbani, Dharmatma, Welcome, Janbaaz, Dayavan, Yalgaar, Apradh, and others are worth mentioning. Fardeen too, followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a wonderful actor and producer in the Hindi cinema industry. Time and again, Fardeen has also shown his love and respect for his father in many of his interviews and social media stances. Now, on Feroz Khan's birth anniversary, Fardeen penned down the former's immense struggle to retain his birth name amidst the political scenario during partition.
As September 25, 2023, marked the 84th birth anniversary of Feroz Khan, his son, Fardeen Khan made a special post remembering him. Taking to his IG handle, Fardeen shared a sepia image of his father from his younger days. In the picture, the late actor indeed looked handsome. And sharing it, Fardeen mentioned how his father was one of the countless actors who have captivated audiences with their talent, hard work and charisma.

Along with the picture, Fardeen also penned a long note talking about Feroz's remarkable contribution to the evolution and progress of Indian cinema. However, the doting son didn't miss a chance to explain how his father was adamant about his unwavering commitment to his secular ideals. Fardeen mentioned that his father was certainly amongst the first mainstream Hindi film actors to retain his birth name, Feroz Khan, as his “on-screen” name.
Further, discussing Feroz's immense struggle to retain his birth name without altering it or dropping the last name, Fardeen mentioned how it also reflected directly on his daddy's career prospects. Since at that time of India’s partition, Fardeen mentioned that the actors too, were going through excessive torment and trauma, and Muslims were viewed with great scepticism, and many people had changed their name. Giving an example of Dilip Kumar, Feroz's brother, Abbas and many more, Fardeen mentioned how his father did something contrary and contributed to paving the way for all actors who now proudly bear their birth name as their “on-screen” name without hesitation.

In an interview with ETimes, Fardeen Khan opened up about remaking the late Feroz Khan's blockbuster films. However, he also opened up about the only fear he has in his mind about remaking his father's films. The doting son explained that he doesn't want to harm the original film's legacy while remaking it, but at the same time, he has to offer a new angle to the audience. At the end of the interview, Fardeen Khan admitted that he would try his best to honour the legacy of his father, late Feroz Khan and once again talked about his vision and excellence. The actor praised his father for always presenting his actresses most beautifully and ensuring nothing was going wrong.
