Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan doesn’t need an introduction. The handsome artist has swooned fans across the globe with his charming personality, charismatic looks and stellar performances. A youth icon in his full potential, Fawad has also significantly worked in a few hit Bollywood films, including Khoobsurat, Kapoor And Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Fawad enjoys a huge fan following also because of his occasional stint as a performing music artist.
In a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Fawad Khan was asked about if there has been a particular period in his life where he has been a victim of mental health issues. The actor contemplated for a while, and responded partially, as he spoke about the times when he had to battle with the feelings of insecurity, which comes naturally in a competitive field like acting. He said:
“Well, I think it’s a business of vanity. There is insecurity, to a certain degree, everyone faces that insecurity.”

Speaking up more on the same lines, Fawad then went onto talk about how, in his case, he came out of the phase of mental ill-health. While the actor emphasised that these things are very dynamic and have a different wavelength for each person, but for him, he found it best not to sort out the circumstances himself. Rather, Fawad expressed leaving things to resolve on their own, and having an abundance of patience over time fixing everything. In his words:
“I think the best way to tackle it is… (Takes a long pause) I don’t think I’m the right person to give this advice because I think there are people who have gone through a far greater struggle than I have. I have been very lucky, very fortunate, and very grateful for that. But I think let things happen at their own pace. Let things happen. When the time is right, things will happen. Patience is the key.”
Despite being such a popular global star with almost 1.7 million followers alone on his Instagram handle, Fawad Khan is not quite active on the social media platform, and it is rather rare that he shares a slice of his personal or professional life out there for the world to see. Talking about the reason behind the same, Fawad revealed he wishes that his craft and performance do all the talking, since he finds social media to be responsible for putting people in a vulnerable state. He added:
“I would say if you are dedicated to the craft, be dedicated to the craft in a way that do your own, and just turn off that switch. This is why I have always been against social media it puts you in a very vulnerable position and you feel like you’re losing out on a lot. The world is racing ahead and you are left behind. That is the pitfall.”
