Shaadi season is at its peak, and while we are still gushing over Telly world's diva, Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain's dreamy and grand wedding. Apart from them, a lot of other celebrities had got married this season. Now, 2022 will also see some of the grand wedding affairs! Well, the FIR actor, Vipul Roy, is the latest name, who will join the bandwagon of married couples.
Vipul Roy is all set to tie the knot with his fiance, Melis Atici, in February 2022. The wedding will be preceded by haldi, sangeet and mehendi ceremonies. The couple is planning to have a destination wedding. However, the venue hasn't been decided yet. For the unversed, Vipul Roy has been in a romantic relationship with Melis for five years and had got engaged in August 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey. Vipul had first met Melis, who runs an IT company, in 2016 and the two had fallen for each other. They had been in a live-in relationship, and Melis had been shuttling between the two countries.
The couple had faced a rough one year in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vipul and Melis were supposed to tie the knot in 2020, but she had to stay in the US due to the pandemic restrictions and couldn't return to India. However, things have taken a good turn, and the Indian embassy has approved Melis' tourist visa. She will land in Mumbai within a few weeks.
A close source to the actor revealed to The Times Of India that Vipul wants to keep his personal life away from the media limelight. The source mentioned:
"He is finalising the venue details and does not want undue attention on his personal life because his fiancée is coming back to India after two years, and he has been waiting for this moment for a long time."
In an old interview with Bombay Times, Vipul had revealed how he had managed to stay in touch with his girlfriend-cum-fiance, Melis Atici during the lockdown 2020. He had shared:

"I have been in touch with Melis regularly through video calls and often, both of us break down. We were together for seven months in Mumbai before she left in January 2020. We have never been apart for so long."
On the work front, Vipul had worked in many television shows, like FIR, Sahib Biwi Aur Boss, Dr Madhumati on Duty and Partners.
