Sonakshi Sinha is currently busy prepping for her upcoming wedding with her longtime boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal. The duo, who is all set to marry on June 23, 2024, began their pre-wedding functions with an intimate mehendi ceremony. While rumours were rife that all was not well at Sonakshi's place, her father, Shatrughan Sinha, debunked the speculations and hugged it out with Zaheer.
Recently, we stumbled upon a video, which has been doing rounds on the internet and showed Sonakshi Sinha's wedding dress. Some staff members were seen taking an array of stunning outfits out of the car, and among them was the actress' shadi ka joda. The outfit had a princess-cut embellished choli and a matching flared lehenga. We can also see some other dresses in the hues of peach, pink, grey, and beige, which the actress will wear at her wedding functions.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are going to have an inter-faith marriage, which left people speculating if the actress will convert to Islam. However, in an interview with the Free Press Journal, Sonakshi's to-be father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi revealed that the actress is not converting to Islam. Zaheer and Sonakshi's union signifies their love for one another, and it is not related to their religions. Ratansi added:
"She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi."

On June 21, 2024, the soon-to-be-married couple, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had their mehendi ceremony. In the photo, Sonakshi looked gorgeous in a red-hued ensemble with golden embellishments all over it. Leaving her tresses open, she accessorised her look with statement earrings. On the other hand, Zaheer looked handsome in a white kurta with red floral prints. Sonakshi and Zaheer were seen smiling their brightest while posing for the lens with their loved ones.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding invite has gone viral on Reddit. It featured an audio QR code with a sweet message from the couple. According to the leaked invite, the party will take place at Bastian in Mumbai, and the guests are requested to wear formal and festive attire. We could also see “the rumours were true” written on the card. The couple also asked the guests not to wear red, hinting that the bride-to-be will steal our hearts in a red lehenga. In the voice note, Zaheer and Sonakshi shared the tidbits of their wedding celebration, with the former confirming that they have been together for the last seven years. They expressed their excitement as they embarked on this new journey in their life and requested the guests to join them at the celebrations.
