Looks like 'December 2018' has to be changed to ‘Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding month'! Theirs has been a highly anticipated wedding with the celebrations going on for almost half of the month! The couple had their pre-wedding ceremony in Udaipur and wedding in their 27-storey home in Mumbai, Antilia. Post their wedding, the couple was reportedly supposed to move into their plush Rs 450 crore apartment in Gulita, Mumbai. The beautiful five-storey sea facing building has been gifted to the couple by the Piramals! Isn’t it amazing?
What looks like another housewarming-cum-reception bash hosted by the newly-wed couple, the first-ever picture of Isha has emerged post her wedding, wherein, the newbie bride is posing with her girl gang. Decked in a beautiful noodle-strapped, red gown which she teamed with minimal diamond jewellery, what further accentuated Isha’s look was her mehendi-clad hands and her post-bridal glow! By the way, do you want to know the details of Isha and Anand's new love nest? Theirs is a 50,000 sq. ft. mansion which wax previously owned by Hindustan Unilever. Speaking about the interiors of the house, it has a 'stunning glass facade' and three 'glazed steel structures' which makes it stand out. Rigorous remodelling of the house had been going on for quite sometime to make Isha-Anand's home a grand one. As per reports, a London based engineering firm, Eckersley OCallaghan, was given this project. A Mumbai Mirror report also suggested that the plush house has as many as three basements, innumerous dining rooms and an outdoor pool. Isha’s pre-wedding festivities had kickstarted from December 07, 2018 when her stylists and people belonging to the glamour world had started flying in for the pre-wedding at Udaipur. With the celebrations spread over a period of almost one week, have you ever calculated how much the Ambanis must be spending for their beti ki shaadi? Get ready for the shock of your life, while we reveal the total expenditure of the Ambanis! Believe it or not, as per a Bloomberg report, the family of Richie Rich’s are spending around $15 million, which estimates upto a whopping amount of Rs 70 crore for the wedding! This might have given you a complete mini-attack!
Speaking about their wedding expenditure, the Ambanis had hosted an ‘Anna Seva’ from December 07-10, 2018, wherein they had been feeding 5100 people, three times a day. Apart from this, they had also set up a Swadesh Bazaar (an initiative of the Reliance Foundation), which had showcased “108 traditional Indian Crafts and art forms from all different regions of the country for the national and international guests”, thus keeping Indian art crafts alive.
An official statement that that came from the Ambanis, contained details about the Anna Seva and Swadesh Bazaar. The same could be read as, “As a mark of respect and gratitude to the city of Udaipur, and to seek their blessings for the upcoming wedding of their daughter, the family has commenced a special “Anna Seva” - taking up the auspicious task of feeding 5100 people (majority of them with special abilities) three times everyday from 7th to 10th December, to coincide with the pre-wedding functions of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal on 8th & 9th December. Family members, including Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Ajay and Swati Piramal, Isha and Anand were present at this Anna Seva function, serving people and interacting with them. The Anna Seva functions will continue for four days, from 7th to 10th December and will be performed three times a day at the Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur."
The statement could be further read as, “In addition, the pre-wedding festivities will also see the setting up of a specially curated exhibit called the Swadesh Bazaar that will showcase 108 traditional Indian Crafts and art forms from all different regions of the country for the national and international guests. Presenting the art will be master craftsmen and craftswomen themselves, who are keeping these traditional arts alive. Creating an interesting experience as also an immersion into India’s cultural heritage. Swadesh Bazaar is a unique concept to encourage the craftsmanship of traditional Indian artisans, especially for a lot of indigenous crafts that need conservation and revival and have been supported by Reliance Foundation over the years. The statement concluded with, “From the rich Kanjeevaram, exclusive Patola, intricate Chikankari to fine Bandhani, exhibits cover over 30 types of textiles and weaves. Depicting folktales and local legends, artists will showcase ancient painting forms like Gond, Madhubani, Phad, Warli and Thangka. Weavers, potters and sculptures from all around the country will make this a mega-celebration of art and culture. This unique exhibit has not just provided livelihoods to thousands of such artisans, but also giving an opportunity to showcase their rare works from every nook and corner of India, for people’s interest, appreciation and support.”
