Over the years, the fashion industry has evolved by leaps and bounds, as so has people’s perception of gender-specific clothing. Several male celebrities like Harry Styles, Ranveer Singh, G-Dragon, and BTS members- Jimin, V and Jungkook have all adapted to gender-fluid clothing and accessories. They Subsequently popularised unisex fashion for all the teens and millennials out there. This has not only defied the age-old clothing stereotypes but has also empowered people in the LGBTQIA+ community.
Harry Styles, Ranveer Singh, Kim Tae-Hyung, aka V, and Jimin have time and again donned outfits that are stereotyped as female-fits. And it has not only been constrained for photo shoots, but they have even adorned the fits for their performances, movie premiers and red carpet shows. For the unversed, Harry Styles is an English singer and actor, while Jimin and V are members of the K-pop group, BTS.

Kim Tae-Hyun, aka V, very recently did a photo shoot with W Korea where he was seen wearing a rugged grey-hued skirt and a grey vest. The vocalist looked dapper with his back-gelled hair and panther-detailed accessories. This isn’t the first time a male celebrity has worn skirts. Previously, Jimin has also adorned a skirt for their song, Butter’s concept photos. On numerous occasions, Harry Styles has worn skirts, dresses and all sorts of stereotypical female clothes.

One Indian male celebrity, who has defied gender stereotype clothing norms is none other than Ranveer Singh. Time and again, the actor has unapologetically donned several gender-fluid outfits and has aced the looks. From skirts to feminine tops, the actor had done it all with utmost grace and pride.

Skirts and dresses aren’t the only gender-fluid styles male celebrities have adorned over the years. Most recently, Ranveer Singh, Harry Styles and V have been spotted in the early 80s cult classic piece that is sequins. The fashion style is usually seen adorned by women, but our heroes here have taken it upon themselves to defy all gender stereotypes.
Apart from clothing, male celebrities have also been spotted decked in many female jewellery pieces like pearl earrings, necklaces, nath and more. Apart from jewellery, these male celebs have even proudly walked the red carpets in high heels and painted nails. Talk about defying toxic masculinity, and that too in style.
