Gauahar Khan has already made a name for herself in the showbiz with her charming personality. She had started her career as a model and then had become the name of every household by bagging the trophy of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 7. The gorgeousness had taken the internet by surprise when she had tied the knot with the man of her dreams, Zaid Darbar, on December 25, 2020. Now, the actress has shared the memorable experience of her first trip to Mecca with her darling hubby, Zaid.
For those who don't know, the couple had crossed paths with each other at the most unexpected place and during the most unexpected time. Gauahar and Zaid had met each other for the first time at a grocery shop during the lockdown. And then their sweet love story had begun. From long drives and heartmelting DMs to a dreamy romantic proposal on Gauahar's birthday, Zaid had left no stone unturned to etch a special place in her heart.

In a candid chat with the Hindustan Times, Gauahar Khan shared that they had wanted to do Umrah (an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca) since their marriage in December 2020. However, their plan kept getting postponed, and then, due to the looming pandemic, the nation was in lockdown. The actress shared that initially, she wanted to go with Zaid, but then they had decided to take their mothers as well. She shared:
"It was my first time with Zaid and Zaid's first time there as well. Initially, we were planning we both will go, but we also decided to take our moms. Then the plan kept increasing and families kept adding on. My family joined us from Dubai and UK, Zaid's family joined us from Bombay," says Khan."

Ramzan holds a special place for the Islamic community. Whole family enjoys the month-long festivities and fasting together. In the same interview, talking about her beautiful experience on the family trip, Gauahar shared:
"We all shared a lot of nice moments together. Doing sehri (the early morning meal before the day-long fasting) and iftar (the meal to break the fast in the evening) together, praying together. We made the most of it."

By now, it's pretty clear that the Begum Jaan actress is a complete family person, and she loves to spend special occasions with her close ones. Further in the conversation, Gauahar was asked to shed some light on her upcoming Eid plans, which will start on the evening of May 2 and will end on the evening of May 3. She said that as she is now married, there will be 'double' celebrations with her parents and in-laws. Gauhar can be quoted as saying:
"Now that I am married there are always double celebrations, where both of our families are involved. It's all about food on Eid. We kind of celebrate all the days we have fasted by eating a lot."
