Being a bridesmaid is a tough job as you need to ensure that the bride looks her best on her big day and calm her down when she gets cold feet. You not only have to take care of the bride, but also have to look your best amidst running various errands. From helping the bride with their outfit to finalising your look, you gotta be on your toes as a bridesmaid. Bollywood’s bubbly actress, Genelia D’souza turned a bridesmaid for her friend, and we are in awe of her look.
For those, who don’t know, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza had got married on February 3, 2012, after dating for 9 years. The doting couple had embraced parenthood for the first time on November 25, 2014, with the arrival of their son, Riaan Deshmukh. In 2016, Riaan was promoted to a ‘big brother’ when Genelia and Riteish had welcomed their second baby, Rahyl Deshmukh.

A while back, taking to her IG stories, Genelia D’Souza shared some cute videos from her bridesmaid moments. While in the first Boomerang, Genelia and her friend can be seen doing a cute gesture to ward off their bride friend from the evil eye, in the next story, the actress can be seen tying kaleera on the bride’s wrist. In the third story, Genelia can be seen having an adorable moment with a kid. However, in all the videos, it was Genelia’s bridesmaid look that blew our mind as she wore a white anarkali suit with a heavy golden border on the neckline and hem and finished off her look with a floral dupatta, golden jewellery, and sleek ponytail.

Well, Genelia’s friend’s wedding reminded us of her traditional Maharashtrian wedding with Riteish Deshmukh. Genelia had made our hearts skip a beat in her red Paithani saree designed by Neeta Lulla. She had made for a perfect Maharashtrian bride as Genelia had accentuated her traditional look with a nath and a mundavalya. Riteish Deshmukh had looked charming as ever in a white sherwani and red safa to colour-coordinate with his bride.

Genelia has been working her professional and personal life perfectly of late. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, she had talked about being a homemaker and how it is more difficult than being a working mother. She had said:
“I feel like it’s easier to be working than to be a homemaker. I feel it’s just considered that you have to do it often and you have to do it. It’s not like, like if you don’t do it, the house will not go ahead. I just salute all the mums who have given up a lot. Like, you know whether it was a simple thing of having an afternoon nap. They would give it up if the house needed it. Even in that zone, we would think that they have to. They don’t have to do anything, like mums who are homemakers as well.”
On the work front, Genelia D’Souza will be next seen with her husband, Riteish Deshmukh in the film, Mister Mummy.
