Vijay Verma leaded IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, released a few days back, and in such a short span, the series has impressed viewers with its storyline and the impactful acting of the star cast. While a section of viewers are mighty impressed with the series, another section is miffed on the makers for naming the Pakistani terrorists 'Bhola' and 'Shankar'. It is so much so that now the Ministry of Information and Broadcast has summoned Netflix's content head for the same.

Anbhuav Sinha's directorial, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is based on the story of the December 24, 1999 hijack case. Therein, five terrorists named Ibrahim Akthar, Shahid Akhtar Sayed, Sunny Ahmed Qazi, Zahoor Mistry, and Shakir captured the aircraft and demanded the freedom of militants in the capture of India in exchange for the passengers on the flight. Although the series has very well portrayed the incident on-screen, it has altered with a few facts, and that has caused big trouble for the makers.
