Sampooran Singh Kalra, professionally known as Gulzar, got married to the famous actress, Raakhee Majumdar in 1973, and in December of the same year, the couple welcomed their daughter, Meghna Gulzar. One year after Meghna's birth, the couple separated, but they never filed for divorce as it was too much for their daughter to take. The estranged couple continued to remain friends with one another. However, recently, Meghna, the famous director, shared a wholesome photo of her parents, and it just won our hearts.
Taking to her IG handle, Meghna Gulzar shared a wholesome photo of a top-notch family moment in the bliss of a rainy day. In the photo, we can spot Gulzar saab and Rakhee, who were seen enjoying delicacies like chai, samosa, and more with their family members. The picture-perfect moment swooned everyone's heart, and netizens poured in love-filled comments. Vicky Kaushal reacted to the photo while Vikrant Massey dropped a red heart emotion. Sharing the photo, Meghna wrote:
"Samose, chai aur baarish…Bliss!"

Meghna Gulzar is a well-known director. She began her career by assisting her father, Gulzaar saab, as a screenwriter for his 1999 directorial Hu Tu. After that, she started working as an independent director and has worked in several movies such as Filhaal..., Dus Kahaniyaan, Talvar, Raazi, Chhapaak, and Sam Bahadur. She shares an amazing bond with her parents. It was back in 2020 when Gulzaar saab turned 86 years old, and for the same, Meghna dropped a love-filled monochromatic photo with her father along with a long note. In the note, Meghna added that she knows that she is protected by the way her father's arms always cradle her.
In an old interview with Peeping Moon, Meghna was asked what she had learned from her actress mom and poet-lyricist father. The director shared that her mom has lived both her professional and personal lives with dignity, and she tries to follow the same routine every day. Talking about what she had learned from her father, Meghna referred to a famous line by him that states:
"Jo sach hai aur sahi hai, wahi karo."
It was after Meghna's birth when Gulzar and Rakhee separated, but they were never officially divorced. The issue that came between them was Gulzar didn't want Rakhee to work in films after marriage, and she listened to it but would hope that she would work in her husband's films, which never happened. Although, she had lined up projects, she couldn't work.

However, once, during a shoot of Gulzar's film, he rescued Suchitra Sen and escorted her to her room, which irked Rakhee, who questioned her husband. Gulzar didn't like the same and struck Rakhee, which gave her a traumatising experience. Later that day, Yash Chopra brought a project, Kabhie Kabhie, to Rakhee, and despite Gulzar's protests, she worked on the film, marking the crack in her and Gulzar's relationship.
