Aamir Khan recently revealed, in a genuine way, a poignant story regarding Amitabh Bachchan's birth in a promo for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Aamir talks about the actor's father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, in the episode honouring Amitabh's 82nd birthday.
According to Aamir Khan, Harivansh thought Amitabh was a reincarnation of Pratap Narayan Shrivastav, his own father. He related an incident in which Amitabh Bachchan's mother, Teji Bachchan, went through labour.
While in a semi-dream state, Harivansh told Teji with confidence, "You will have a boy, and my father’s soul is coming in his form". This poignant moment reflects their family's deep spiritual beliefs, highlighting how connections to the past can shape our understanding of identity and destiny.
When Aamir Khan asked Amitabh about his birth, Amitabh seemed to consider the meaning of this concept, demonstrating the close relationship and spirituality of the Bachchan family. Amir Khan asked Amitabh Bachchan, “Do you remember the day you were born?" Amitabh looked blank. Aamir then added that Amitabh’s father has written details about the events that unfolded on actor’s birth day. The actor then read out a piece of Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s biography:
"When Teji woke me up and said that she is having labour pains, it was an auspicious timing. I had a vivid dream and I was so amazed by it that I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it with Teji. In my half-sleep state, I told her, ‘Teji, you will have a boy and my father’s soul is coming in his form."
