Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, we meet someone, who touches our soul and with them, there is no right or wrong. When we are with them, the world seems a better place and we don't care for society's judgement. And Bollywood's Dream Girl, Hema Malini has gone through the same emotions when she had fallen in love with already married, Dharmendra Deol. There were many, who called her names and forced her to part ways from the actor, but it only made Hema ji's love grew stronger. We all believe that over the years, Hema ji and Dharmendra ji's love story has defied all odds. They had fought the battle of society's acceptance and their relationship has grown beautifully. We all know Dharmendra Deol was a married man, who had tied the knot with Prakash Kaur in the year 1957. However, in the '70s, he was head-over-heels in love with Hema ji. In the beginning, the actress didn't reciprocate to his feelings as she had never wanted to get involved with a married man but she couldn't avoid his love for long and gave in.
Recently, Hema Malini and her daughter, Esha Deol have shot for a special episode of The Kapil Sharma Show. During the shooting of the show, Hema shared many anecdotes from her personal life. She even told the host, Kapil that Dharmendra ji had booked an entire hospital for her during the delivery of her daughters, Esha and Ahana. She shared, "Yes, it’s true, during the deliveries of Esha and Ahana, he had booked the whole hospital on my name so that I don’t get disturbed by fans.” Hema also revealed how her mother had barred her from entering the kitchen so that she could focus on her dancing career. She said that it was only after she gave birth to her daughters and they had complained that they wanted food cooked by their mother that she had decided to learn cooking. Hema shared that the first thing she learnt was bread poha. (Also Read: Anita Hassanandani Going To Gift This To Hubby, Rohit Reddy On His Birthday Amid Coronavirus Scare)
Last year, in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Hema ji had talked about her decision of marrying Dharmendra ji. She had revealed that she had never wanted to hurt anyone because of her love, not even his first wife, and hence, she never intruded in their life. The Dream Girl had proudly stated that she had never taken Dharmendra ji away from his first wife and children. She was quoted as saying, "The minute I saw Dharam ji, I knew he was the man for me. I wanted to spend my life with him. I also wanted to make sure that the marriage hurt nobody. His first wife and children have never felt my intrusion in their lives. I married him, but I never took him away from his first family."
For those who don't know, Hema ji and Dharmendra ji had an intimate wedding which was a quiet, traditional Tamil one, the way the actress had always imagined. In an interview with Rediff.com, Hema had talked about her equation with Dharmendra ji's first wife, Prakash ji, and had shared, "I didn't want to disturb anyone. I am happy with whatever Dharamji did for me and my daughters. He played the role of a father like any father would do. I guess I am happy with that. Though I have never spoken about Prakash, I respect her a lot. Even my daughters respect Dharamji's family. The world wants to know about my life in detail, but that is not for others to know. It's no one's business." (Don't Miss: Rupali Ganguly Credits Her Return To Acting After 7 Years With Show 'Anupama' To Hubby, Ashwin Verma)
