Late actor, Sidharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill's journey had started when they had met inside the Bigg Boss 13 house. After spending some time together, Shehnaaz had fallen in love with the 'angry young man' of the television industry. The bubbly actress had never shied away from expressing her love for Sidharth in public, while he had always maintained the 'good friends' stance.
However, sadly, on September 2, 2021, Sidharth Shukla had passed away at the age of 40 due to cardiac arrest. It was not just the death of Sidharth but also the sudden death of Shehnaaz Gill's dreams that she had seen with Sidharth. Now, in her recent interview, Himanshi Khurana, who was a close friend of Sidharth and Shehnaaz, has opened up about their connection.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Himanshi Khurana recalled the golden moments she had lived inside the Bigg Boss 13's house and how everyone was real in that particular season. The actress also opened up about late actor, Sidharth Shukla, who was the winner of that season. When Himanshi was asked to reflect on Shehnaaz Gill's connection with Sidharth. Answering this, Himanshi got a bit emotional and stated that she felt for Shehnaaz, who is going through unimaginable pain. She said:
"As a woman and a human being, I feel for her, and I think she is focusing on her work right now. I think Sidharth Shukla had achieved so much in life and made his mother, sisters very proud of him. He has left us all and the world. As we say his journey in this world has completed. Now he is a part of some other world. Sidharth was that one person who mattered to her so much and was deeply connected to her, now Shehnaaz has to live life."
Going further in the interview, Himanshi Khurana also stated that it's extremely important that people don't push Shehnaaz Gill towards the painful realisation that Sidharth Shukla is not here anymore by poking questions about their past. She explained:
"We will remember him always but we should not make Shehnaaz remember the trauma or pain of his demise. We should not push her towards that phase again."

The actress also addressed Sidharth's mother, Rita Shukla's constant support to Shehnaaz right from the very beginning of this tragic reality. Himanshi also revealed that her boyfriend, Asim Riaz, had told her after coming back from Sidharth's last rites that his mother is an extremely strong lady. She retorted:
"As a girl I feel she needs a very strong support and I am very glad that Sidharth's mother is with her during this tough phase. Asim had gone to attend his last rites and he told me that Sidharth's mother is a very strong lady and how she handled everything."
At the end of the interview, Himanshi Khurana stressed the importance of Sidharth Shukla's mother, Rita Shukla, in Shehnaaz Gill's life. The actress explained that right now, Shehnaaz is trying her best to come to terms with Sidharth's loss, but at this point of time, she isn't well enough to make decisions about her career or life. That is the reason why Sidharth's mother, Rita Shukla's guidance can be the much-needed key in Shehnaaz's life. Himanshi said:
"Asim and I discuss how Shehnaaz needs Rita aunty and she should be under her guidance. Shehnaaz is currently not in that frame of mind. Aisi haalat mein nahi hai ke sab kuch soojh boojh se kar sake…. It is a very tough situation for everyone and Shehnaaz has never seen a phase like this. I feel no one should go through this pain. Right now, she needs someone mature and strong who can help her to move ahead in life. Because she is in this tough profession."

On the professional front, Shehnaaz Gill is currently seen in the film, Honsla Rakh.
