Hrithik Roshan tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Sussanne Khan, in 2000. However, they called it quits and parted ways in 2014. They have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Both Hrithik and Sussanne have been seeing other people, Saba Azad and Arslan Goni, respectively. However, the ex-couple continues to share a cordial bond with one another. Now, Sussanne's brother, Zayed Khan, talked about his sister’s separation from Hrithik and how their family dealt with it.
In a conversation with Subhojit Ghosh on his YouTube channel, Zayed Khan opened up about Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan's divorce. He shared that they have a modern family, and they have always supported the ex-couple after their divorce. Speaking along the same lines, Zayed said:

“We are a very modern family. There’s a saying, blood is thicker than water. If two people don’t want to be with each other but they have many other things in common, one must understand and support them. There is something which lies ahead of that; family, children, everybody… Responsibilities are above and beyond all of that. We are a very open-minded family, as long as there is respect for each other. We inculcate that not only into ourselves, but also our children.”
Zayed Khan mentioned that they had a choice to either live in anger or to continue living happily together, so they decided to go for the latter option. He also spoke about his bond with Hrithik and called him a gem of a person. He further heaped praises on Sussanne's current boyfriend, Arslan Goni and said:
“Irrespective of whatever happens, we never badmouth any side. We make them realise that certain things are the way they are, and they’re going to be like this. We can all be happy together, or we can be sad together. What would you choose? I’m very close to my brother Hrithik as well. He’s a gem of a guy, with a heart of gold. Both their partners… Saba is a wonderful lady, Arsalan is also a very good boy… What the hell, life goes on.”
Zayed was also asked if he felt bad when his sister, Sussanne Khan, was trolled after her divorce from Hrithik Roshan. Responding to it, he said that one needs to have a thick skin and emotional support from the family is must. The actor also lauded his family for being there like a rock for Sussanne and said:
“You have to have a thick skin. How your family galvanises together to give you emotional support, these things matter. Our family is like a rock. Anything happens to one of us, it happens to all of us."
Zayed Khan further mentioned that a couple has to look at their separation maturely, as it could happen to anybody. He also mentioned that Mumbai can be a difficult place for a marriage to survive, as there are so many distractions. Zayed concluded:

"I have nothing to say beyond, these are things that one has to look at maturely. It could happen to anybody. Also, look at our city, we live in a city where there are so many distractions. We don’t live in Dalhousie. It’s a tough city to survive for a lot of marriages, let alone my own family. Needless to say, we are an unmovable force.”
