Sunaina Shares Mom's Reaction To Her Cancer Diagnosis, Reveals Being Emotionally Low For Losing Hair

Hrithik Roshan is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood, whose dedication and masterclass performances have left all spellbound over the years. Hailed as the 'Greek God' in Bollywood, made his debut in the Hindi film industry as a lead actor in the movie, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. Well, he is truly an inspiration. Recently, Hrithik's sister, Sunaina shared how she drew inspiration from the actor while dealing with a lot of health issues. She also talked about her health issues, including cancer and brain tuberculosis. 

Sunaina Roshan talks about her diagnosis with the rarest cancer and how losing hair took a toll on her emotional health

In a conversation on Her Health Talks channel, Sunaina talked in detail about her health conditions. She shared how, while working with her father as a co-producer, she spotted some blood clots during her period. Sunaina added that she had told her mom that she might have cancer, but the latter replied by saying, 'What rubbish are you speaking?’. She remarked that after everything, she just decided to be strong and pull through it for her family.

In the same interview, Sunaina shared how losing hair during the treatment took a toll on her at the emotional level. For the unversed, Hrithik's sister was diagnosed with lymphoma of the cervix, which is the rarest form of cancer. She shared that whenever she used to enter the ICU, she used to ask doctors whether she would lose her hair. She said:

"Whenever we entered the ICU, I would only ask one question: ‘Doc, will my hair fall?’ He must’ve gotten tired of my questions."

Sunaina also talked about brain tuberculosis diagnosis and mentioned how people still hold onto the stigma attached to it and consider it with coughing and lungs, while it can affect any part of the body. She also talked about her other health issues like diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, fatty liver, and more. 

Sunaina has been winning hearts with her fitness journey over the years. Talking about the same, she mentioned her father, Rakesh, brother, Hrithik, and Virat Kohli are her fitness inspirations. She remarked she doesn't want anyone to look after her when she's older, and she also won't be able to accept herself in a wheelchair, which is why she decided not to give up. Sunaina added that seeing Hrithik never give up in his life sparked an inspiration in her. She mentioned:

"I never imagined I’d be on a fitness journey like this, but I’ve decided that I don’t want to be on a wheelchair. I don’t want anybody looking after me when I’m older. Seeing my brother never give up, I’ve seen his dedication personally."

Back in 2019, Sunaina made it to the headlines after she, in an interview shared how she was slapped by her father when she let them know about her relationship with Ruhail. She added how her relationship was not accepted by anyone in the Roshan family just because of the fact that Ruhail was a Muslim. She also added that her life has turned out to be hell. Well, eventually Sunaina parted ways with Ruhail.
