We hate to be the bearer of the gloomy news that Imran Khan has quit acting. Yes, Imran Khan is more inclined towards direction and writing now as quoted from his best friend, Akshay's interview with the Navbharat Times. Scroll down to know more!
In an interview with the Navbharat Times, Akshay Oberoi talked about his 'best friend' Imran Khan and revealed that the two have been friends for the past 18 years and have studied acting together at Kishore Acting School. He added that the Katti Batti star has left the showbiz as he feels there is a better director and writer in him. Akshay was quoted as saying, "My best friend in Bollywood is Imran Khan, who is no longer an actor because he has quit acting. See, Imran Khan has left acting at the moment. As far as I know, there is a better writer and director inside Imran, I do not know when he will direct his film himself, I am not going to put any pressure, but as a friend, I think so he will direct his film soon. Also, when Imran directs, I know he will make a wonderful film because his sensibility and understanding of cinema is very high."
Talking about Imran Khan's personal life, the actor is allegedly separated from his wife, Avantika Malik. A source close to the couple had also informed SpotboyE last year that Avantika had left Imran's residence and had moved to her parent's place with their daughter, Imara Malik Khan. Avantika's mother had spoken about the same, but the 'estranged' couple have kept mum regarding their separation so far. Along with the extremely adorable picture, Avantika had written a famous quote by Martin Luther King Jr. that had hinted towards her will of coming back to her hubby, Imran Khan. The caption could be read as "I have decided to stick with love, hate is too great a burden to bear." - Martin Luther King Jr. Just when I needed to believe in the purity of love the universe sends me a sign... Magic!!."

In an interview with a leading media portal, Avantika Malik was once all praises for her husband, Imran Khan. She had remarked, "He's fantastic. He's the best person to live with because he can be with you and be supportive, and also gives you tremendous space. He looks after me, I have to give him that. I am an ordinary girl in love with a boy who happens to be a movie star. I just feel like I fell in love with this boy 10 years ago, he was a 19-20 then, and though he's grown tremendously in many ways, his core being is still the same. I give Imran a lot of credit because he hasn't changed in any way. Except that he's more confident as he knows what he's achieved."
