Imran Khan is a well-known for his charm and prowess in acting. He is Aamir Khan's nephew and debuted as a protagonist with the film, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in 2008. The film was a success and established his career in the industry. Imran went on to marry Avantika Malik in 2011, but the couple got a divorce in 2019. Now, Imran shared his take on divorce and his thought process behind the decision.
Recently, Imran Khan appeared on the We Are Yuvaa's YouTube channel and talked about his divorce. Imran Khan began dating Avantika Malik at the age of 19, and the couple married in 2011. However, they separated and got a divorce in 2019, just eight years after their marriage. They share joint custody of their daughter, Imara. Imran Khan shared that the decision to get a divorce wasn't easy for him, and it was a heart-wrenching process.

He was asked how he faced the stigma and shame that is linked with a divorce. Imran said that divorce was a choice he and Avantika made because they were not happy nor empowering each other. Despite the difficulty, it has made him strong and healthy. He was quoted as saying:
"It was, ultimately, a choice that I made because I understood that we were in a place where we weren't enabling and empowering each other to be the strongest and best versions of ourselves. You start to get into patterns, which may not be the healthiest. And in this case, in order for both of us to thrive, we needed to take a difficult call. It's not easy; it's gut-wrenching, heart-wrenching. But ultimately, it has been instrumental in my becoming healthier, stronger."
After a few years of divorce, Imran started dating actor, Lekha Washington. He praised her in the same conversation and revealed that they both entered the relationship consciously when they were sure about it. Further, they intend to 'evolve, grow and heal' for a productive relationship. After dating for a few years, they decided to move in together in a new apartment.
