Irrfan Khan's Son Babil Pens Down An Emotional Message, Asks People To Understand For Not Replying

When a person dies, a part of every person related to them dies. There are millions of memories that make it hard for the family members to fill in the vacuum and void, and crying is not enough to suffix for the pain your heart feels. You crave their touch, their hug, their voice, their presence and everything about the person. However, there are few people whose presence and death does not affect only their family members, but millions of people. It was on April 3, 2019, that Irrfan had come back from the US, post his treatment for neuroendocrine tumour. And almost after a year, on April 29, 2020, Angrezi Medium actor and a gem of a human, Irrfan Khan had lost his battle to rare cancer at the age of 53 in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. To everyone, it felt like a personal loss, and everyone has mourned over his death that was the charisma, the late actor had over the nation. The nation is still under shock, and now Irrfan’s elder son, Babil had come out to thank everyone for their support.

Irrfan’s elder son, Babil took to his Instagram handle to thank everyone for their support and condolence, also asking people to understand his condition for not being able to get back to everyone. Babil shared a story on his Instagram handle, which can be read as “I’m deeply grateful for all the condolences you beautiful friends are pouring in for me. Although I hope you understand that right now I’m not being able to reply because my vocabulary is dizzy. I will get back to each one of you but just not right now. Thank you so much. I love you.”

Post Irrfan Khan’s death, according to a report by ETimes, his elder brother, Imran had said that Irrfan has gone up to meet their ‘ammi’ as he could not attend her last rites. For the uninitiated, Irrfan’s mother had passed away in Jaipur just three days before the actor’s death, and he could not travel for the last rites because of the lockdown and his ill health, and thus attended the funeral through a video call. Irrfan’s brother talked about this, and said, "It appears that while Bhaijaan was unable to make it to the burial of our mother, he has gone up there to meet mother. Irrfan was quite affected by his mother’s demise as he had recalled his mother during his last breathe and could see her sitting next to him. According to a report by Peepingmoon, in the last moments of his life, Irrfan Khan was seeing his mother. The legendary actor had told his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, who was sitting beside him in tears with their son, Babil, ex-manager, Asif, and driver, Hashmat in the same room. Irrfan had said that his mother has come to ease his pain. The actor had told his wife, “Now, I’m certain that I’m going to die. Amma is there in the room.
