Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's daughter, Isha Ambani, is happily married to the man of her dreams, Anand Piramal, and the couple is blessed with twins, Krishna and Aadiya. For the unversed, Isha took charge of Reliance Retail in 2014, and since then, the young entrepreneur has seen massive growth. The Stanford alumnus left no stone unturned to make an impact on the business world with her impressive efforts and talent.
Now, Isha Ambani Piramal is all set to inaugurate an exhibition at her family’s new space in Mumbai, Art House. Reportedly, the show will open to the public on April 2, 2023, and preparations for the same are going on in full swing. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Isha Ambani opened up about her new project and revealed that she was personally looking after the logistics to turn her vision into reality. Over the years, we have seen Isha Ambani Piramal, and her mother, Nita Ambani, helping fund museum shows of Indian art around the world. While Reliance Foundation is the main funder of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s upcoming show, Isha wanted to convince faraway museums to send more of their blockbuster shows to India so that her family can promote them closer to their home. However, the country needed a venue with all the latest security and climate-control technologies, so in 2016, the Ambani family spent a hefty amount and built their own alternative. Reflecting on the same, Isha added:
"We want museums to send their works to us and breathe easy."
Further in the interview, Isha Ambani stated that she wants to see what kind of artwork appeals most to local audiences. Moreover, she added that she wanted 'not too fancy' viewing rooms, along with a comfortable cafe for families to gather around. Reflecting on the same, she said:
“I wanted it to have a homey feeling but be a place where every time you come back, it’s fresh and new.”

Isha Ambani Piramal also mentioned that she is hopeful that her new project would also encourage more locals to consider collecting art and promoting it locally. She also stated that many Indian millennials, who were educated abroad, have now returned home just like she and her husband, Anand did a few months back after having their twins. Talking about the same, she said:
“We want to bring the best of what we’ve seen back with us.”
Designed by ace architect, Richard Gluckman, the splendid Art House is located in the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, which is home to several theatres for the performing arts. Moreover, both these cultural spaces are set within the Ambanis’ convention centre complex, Jio World Centre, which is one of the key buildings in India. Reportedly, the 16,000-square-foot Art House has a minimalist atmosphere and adequate display space for the artists to display their work. Art House will rotate in shows including exhibits, art fairs and biennials, and it will operate as a flexible space.
For the unversed, the exhibit will showcase the work of ten artists, with six born in India and four from other places in the world.
