Due to the overnight lockdown imposed in the countries, a lot of people got stuck where they were, away from their families while some were lucky to be with their loved ones. Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik are lucky to be with their respective families in Hyderabad and Pakistan, but away from each other. But more than the thought of being with each other, Sania and Shoaib are clueless when their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, who is staying with his amma, will be able to meet his father.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sania Mirza talks about how she derives strength from her family, especially her son, Izhaan Mirza Malik during the tough phase of the pandemic. Sania remarked, “I drive strength from my family, especially my son Izhaan. No matter how bad my day is, his smile makes everything better. I’m sure we all have that one person who makes us feel that way. Keep them closer.”
How difficult it is for her and Shoaib Malik to stay from each other, Sania Mirza said, “We’re stuck in two different countries and we definitely don’t know when this is going to end. That’s a huge thing to deal with. But we stay in touch on calls.” Revealing what Izhaan Mirza Malik does when he remembers his abba, Shoaib, Sania continued, “He’s at an age when he has started recognising and responding. Though he can’t really speak, but there are random times when he says ‘baba’ out of nothing. Probably that’s him missing his dad. So, it hasn’t been easy, but we need to be grateful that we’re safe.” (Also Read: Shahid Kapoor Treats Wife Mira Kapoor With 'Best Pasta' As He Cooks For The First Time In Five Years)
