In the world of glamour, some relationships last for a lifetime but some lose their charm within the passage of time. And not everyone is lucky to get the right partner with whom they share unmatched chemistry as the glitz and glamour of the industry demand too much of one’s attention to focus on a relationship. There are some couples, who sail through the tough phases of their relationship but for some, the path of love is filled with lots of ups and downs. And one such actress, who has not been quite lucky in matters of heart is actress, Zeba Bakhtiyaar.
The name Zeba Bakhtiyaar doesn’t need any introduction as she is the same beautiful girl we all were in awe of in the film, Henna. Born as Shaheen, Zeba is a Pakistani film and television actress, who had made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with Raj Kapoor’s Henna opposite Rishi Kapoor. Zeba is the daughter of a famous Pakistani politician and former Attorney General, Yahya Bakhtiyar. Her mother was of Hungarian descent while her father was from Quetta. Born and raised in Quetta and later moved to Karachi, Zeba is a well-known name in Pakistan with an array of films and shows to her credit.
More than her professional life, Zeba had garnered a lot of attention for her personal life. She had four weddings, which is quite surprising for her fans. She had first married a man named Salman Valliani from Quetta, with whom she had a daughter. After some time, their relationship had lost its charm and the two had gotten divorced. It is also reported that her daughter was later adopted by her own sister.
After her failed first marriage, Zeba had gotten married to the famous Bollywood comedian, Jaaved Jaaferi in 1989. When the news of their marriage had hit the headlines of many tabloids, Zeba had rubbished the news and had called them mere speculations. But it was Jaaved, who had made their nikahnama public. Within a year, the two had called off their marriage and had gone to their separate ways after a mutual divorce.
After two years, Zeba had found love again in the arms of Bollywood and Pakistani singer, Adnan Sami. He was head-over-heels in love with Zeba and her charming personality. The love-struck Adnan had tied the knot with Zeba in 1993 when he was just a 22-year old man. Since Adnan was not a well-known name back then, the word of their affair before the wedding had never gotten out. The couple had also starred in a Pakistani film together called Sargam. It was Zeba’s third marriage with Adnan but that had never become a cause of stress between the two.

The couple had a lovely baby boy the very next year, named Azaan Sami Khan. But Zeba’s third marriage too didn’t last long and she and Adnan had parted ways after four years of marital bliss. The two had gotten divorced in 1996 and had fought for their son's custody. The custody was given to Zeba but with years, the wounds healed and the two now share a warm relationship. Currently, both Adnan and Zeba hold custody of their child together and are very close to him. Their son Azaan is now married to his childhood sweetheart. In a throwback interview with a leading publication, Zeba had talked about her relationship with Adnan and said,
"I plunged into marriage with Adnan but we had major agenda differences. He married Zeba Bakhtiar the star and not me as a person."
Zeba had tried her luck in love the fourth time and had gotten married to Sohail Khan Leghari in Pakistan. She is living a happy life with him in Pakistan. Despite her failed marriages and disturbed personal life, she is content with her life and is seen in many Pakistani serials these days.
Talking about Zeba’s acting career, the gorgeous actress had started her career with small screen in Pakistan. She had played an important character in the show, Anarkali and her performance was hugely appreciated. It was her effortless acting and stunning looks which had gotten her an important role of a naïve village girl in the Bollywood movie, Henna, produced under RK banner. Her role as Henna had gotten her immense fame but still her career in Bollywood couldn’t take off. Upset with the struggle, she had gone back to Pakistan and has been working in films and shows there.

On April 30, 2020, when Bollywood had lost one of its rarest gems, Rishi Kapoor, his Henna co-star, Zeba Bakhtiyaar had penned a eulogy for him. She had remembered being intimidated by his talent during the shooting of Henna. Sharing a couple of pictures from the film, she had written,
“Just heard this news that my sweet friend Rishi Kapoor is no more! I am really shocked to hear! The time passed so quickly! Looks like HENNA was shooted a day back! I will really miss you and I love you… Its really hard to bear this loss! YOU WERE A SUPERSTAR FOR US. RIP dear RISHI... My CHANDER PRAKASH! you are and forever will be in our hearts! Thank you for the things you taught me during our shoot! Can't write more! only yours HENNA!”
