Scandals and controversies are part of the entertainment world. From alleged spats between actors to secret weddings and extramarital affairs, there is a lot of gossip about celebs. But the scandal that once ruled the headlines is often forgotten over time. One such controversy involved Jackie Shroff and Tabu.
Tabu is one of the most prominent and bankable actresses of Indian cinema, who has worked with almost all the big stars of the film industry, except Jackie Shroff. There is a reason behind the same as there was a time when headlines were dominated by the rumours that Jackie dada once tried to molest a young Tabu.

The incident took place in 1986 when Jackie Shroff was working with Tabu’s elder sister, Farah Naaz, in the film, Diljalaa, which also starred Tanuja and Danny Denzongpa. According to Orissa Post, the crew was shooting in Mauritius and Tabu, who was a teenager, accompanied her sister to the shoot. During the shoot, Danny hosted a party, and everyone from the film’s crew was invited.
During the party, Jackie Shroff allegedly tried to kiss Tabu. Jackie was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and started forcefully kissing Tabu, who tried to resist. Danny handled the situation and forcefully took Jackie away from the actress.

Though Danny managed the situation that night, however, Tabu’s sister and actress, Farah Naaz made a lot of hue and cry about the incident the next morning. Farah went to the media and made a lot of allegations against Jackie alleging that the actor was drunk at the party and tried to assault her sister, Tabu.
Amid all the facade, Tabu didn’t say anything and kept mum. After all the blame game, Farah had put an end to the matter and stated it as a misunderstanding. But Tabu has never worked opposite Jackie Shroff.
Tabu is one of the most versatile actresses of Bollywood. Born as Tabassum Fatima Hashmi, Tabu began her acting career with an uncredited appearance at the age of 11 in the film, Bazaar. She later played Dev Anand’s daughter in Hum Naujawan at the age of 14. Tabu rose to prominence with the film, Vijaypath in 1994, and since then, there has been no looking back for her.

Not just in Hindi, Tabu has weaved her magic in regional cinema as well with films like Ninne Pelladata, Kaalapani, Kadhal Desam, Iruvar, and many others. The stunning actress has won the National Film Award twice for Maachis and Chandni Bar.
In a career spanning more than four decades, Tabu’s name has been linked with many celebs. In the initial stages of her career, Tabu had an affair with actor, Sanjay Kapoor, and later she was romantically involved with director-producer, Sajid Nadiadwala. None of the relationships worked, and Tabu parted with them.
The most serious affair of Tabu’s life was with the handsome South Indian actor, Akkineni Nagarjuna. He was already married to actress, Amala when his alleged affair with Tabu started. She wanted a stable relationship with him, but the actor wasn’t ready to leave his wife. With a broken heart, Tabu parted ways with Nagarjuna and is still single at the age of 52.
Jackie Shroff, who made his Bollywood debut in 1983 with the film, Hero married his ladylove, Ayesha Dutt, in 1987. Despite being completely opposite to one another, Ayesha and Jackie fought all the odds to be with each other. After their marriage on June 5, 1987, Ayesha and Jackie were blessed with two kids, Krishna Shroff and Tiger Shroff.
