Janhvi Kapoor has been very busy in 2024 with her back-to-back releases. Earlier, the 27-year-old actress was seen in Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, opposite Rajkummar Rao, and more recently, her thriller film, Ulajh, saw the light of day. Janhvi will also make her debut in the South Indian film industry with Devara: Part One, starring opposite Jr. NTR.

On August 5, 2024, Janhvi and Jr. NTR's upcoming film's new song, Dheere Dheere (Chuttamalle), was released, impressing many with its peppy lyrics. Moreover, the actress' boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, also gave a shoutout to the song by reposting it on his IG stories. However, not everyone liked the chemistry between the lead on-screen couple and even pointed out their humongous age gap.

Netizens point out the huge age gap between Janhvi Kapoor and Jr. NTR

A Redditor took to the discussion platform and shared a clip of Janhvi and Jr. NTR's song with the title, "This pair looks so odd. The age gap is jarring (Let's see if it's justified in the movie). Jr.NTR looks so awkward and out of place." Soon, other users started sharing their thoughts on Devara's new song. One user wrote, "She looks like a teen next to him." Another one penned, "After "Natu natu" this feels like 'Dont-do Dont-do.'"

When Janhvi Kapoor talked about online trolling

This isn't the first time that Janhvi has been trolled for something. The actress has been the target of anonymous faces on the internet since the time she debuted in the industry. However, over the years, she has become thick-skinned to such vicious comments. During a conversation on Galatta Plus, Janhvi said:

"Khushi told me, ‘They hate you on Reddit.’ And I was like (clueless expression). So much of it is so bitter."

During an AMA session, she shared details about her personal and professional lives, including her role in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, on Reddit. And when asked if she uses Reddit like many other celebs, Janhvi said:

"Honestly, I feel like I’ve fleetingly heard, like, threads and theories on Reddit, and it’s always kind of scared me a little bit. The scrutiny on Reddit seems a bit extreme. My sister Khushi is quite in sync with what’s happening on Reddit, and sometimes I’ll ask her what the tea is, but I myself don’t browse it. I think I tried once, but I just couldn’t understand how to navigate the threads and all that."
