Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao have been grabbing limelight for their enthusiastic promotions for their upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi. The two actors, who are a fresh pairing on the celluloid, have impressed everyone with their chemistry on-screen and fun banter in real life. However, during a recent promotional event, it seems Janhvi Kapoor was left rather shocked over a remark of Rajkummar Rao.
In a recent interaction on Mirchi Plus for the promotion of their upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor had an interesting conversation. The diva recalled an incident from her school wherein despite being a part of the choir group, her mic was intentionally switched off by her teacher for an event. Well, Janhvi agreed that she didn’t sing well and was even in the first line of the group. Hearing her story, Rajkummar Rao quickly butted in and asked her as to why she was selected in the choir group in the first place. Taking a jibe at the constant chatter of nepotism, Janhvi replied:

“I don’t think anybody can do what she did, anybody is as versatile as she is. The level at which she would operate I don’t think anybody can cope with that leave me alone! But in today’s generation, the actresses get compared to her dance moves, every step, every performance. My sister and I would initially stress a lot and get very nervous, overburdened with the baggage. But then I began to understand that I’m being compared to Mumma so that’s the standard!”
