Gautam Adani's DIL, Diva Shah Wears Ivory Saree With NGO-Made Shawl For Her Pre-Wedding Festivities

Jeet Adani, the younger son of industrialist and Adani Group Chairperson, Gautam Adani, married Diva Shah in a simple yet elegant traditional Jain-Gujarati ceremony on February 7, 2025. While the wedding and its fun-filled pre-wedding soirees were nothing short of remarkable, what truly set this celebration apart were the thoughtful elements woven throughout the festivities. Rooted in age-old traditions, the wedding stood out for its heartfelt commitment to philanthropy and inclusivity, transforming an already momentous occasion into a meaningful celebration of giving back.

Jeet and Diva’s philanthropic collaborations

In addition to being just a union of two individuals, Jeet and Diva’s wedding was a valuable platform to uplift Indian artistry, especially advocating for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Together with Diva and the Adani Foundation, they wove this mission into every detail of the festivities.

One of the key highlights of Jeet and Diva’s wedding was its symbolic collaboration with ace fashion designer, Manish Malhotra and the NGO named Family of Disabled (FOD). Manish Malhotra worked closely with divyang (differently abled) artisans from FOD to design custom shawls for the bride and groom. The groom, Jeet's shawl was intricately adorned with thread work and Diva's shawl featured floral motifs in white.

The shawls weren’t the only items bearing the mark of talented artisans. FOD also contributed hand-painted wedding essentials, including glassware, plates, and accessories, making the entire celebration an aesthetic spectacle. Guests who attended the wedding were also gifted Paithani sarees from Yeola, Nashik, which were woven by over 400 artisans.

Other than this, several renowned artisans were invited to create unique pieces for the guests. For instance, a nail artist reportedly crafted intricate bookmarks using the fingernail art technique. Additionally, glass art was used as a decorative prop, created by a famous father-son artist duo. Mud art pieces were also showcased as part of the wedding decor at Jeet and Diva's celebration.

The launch of Mangal Seva (The Blind Brides initiative)

Jeet and Diva’s philanthropic initiatives did not end here — perhaps the most remarkable initiative of the wedding was the launch of an empowering program named Mangal Seva. Under this initiative, Jeet and Diva pledged financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh each to 500 newly married women with disabilities. Before their wedding, Jeet personally met 25 of these newly married women and their husbands, offering not just financial support but heartfelt encouragement.

The Adani family’s philanthropic spirit shines through initiatives like GreenX Talks under the Adani Foundation which showcases stories of resilience and social entrepreneurship. Through these initiatives, the Adani Foundation has already touched over 9.1 million lives in 6,769 villages. Jeet’s wedding only strengthened this legacy by drawing attention to the talents and potential of differently-abled individuals. Gautam Adani expressed his pride for Jeet and Diva’s initiatives on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The billionaire wrote:

“I believe this effort will bring happiness, peace, and respect to the lives of many differently-abled women and their families. With unwavering faith in the cause, I pray that Jeet and Diva continue to receive the strength and blessings to carry this mission forward, spreading love and service to all.”
