John Abraham is one of the most charming, talented, and famous actors in Bollywood. He is also known for his honest interviews and simple lifestyle. The actor made his debut with the hit film, Jism in 2003. Since then, the actor's career graph has grown, and he hasn't looked back. But, despite his stardom and success, John still prefers to live by his middle-class values. Recently, the actor opened up about his middle-class lifestyle and his thought process behind the same.
A few days ago, John Abraham appeared on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast and shared insight into his lifestyle. The actor comes from a simple middle-class background and began his career as a model before he ventured into acting. John added that he doesn't believe in a flashy lifestyle. Instead, the actor feels everyone should try to earn money, and it's not wrong if someone wants more money. However, living a simple lifestyle is vital for him. In his words:
"Value-creation is more important than wealth-creation… I always say that I'm a middle-class person, not to romanticise my struggles, but to say that the value-system that every middle-class person has is their biggest strength. Being middle-class is an advantage… Make money, generate wealth, but mentally, always remain middle-class."
In the same conversation, John shared that he doesn't have a big or flashy wardrobe. Instead, he owns only a few clothes that can fit in one suitcase. Moreover, his driver often suggests him to buy a big car for more comfort. However, he doesn't feel the need for it. He said:
"I don't want to create a false impression, but every piece of clothing I own can fit inside a single suitcase. I don't have many clothes, and I want to keep it simply. I usually wear slippers. I drive a pickup truck, and my driver, who has been with me for many years, would often tell me to buy a more expensive car. I asked him why. When I go for shoots, the production sends an Innova, and my office is just 1 kilometre away from my house. What will I do with a car worth Rs 4 crore? It's a depreciating asset, and it will have no bearing on my work."
