John Cena Reveals He Was Starstruck By SRK, Praises Fantastic Indian Food At Anant Ambani's Wedding

In July 2024, Anant Ambani's grand wedding with Radhika Merchant made headlines not just in India but all over the world. After several pre-wedding festivities, the couple tied the knot in the presence of their family, friends, and several renowned names in the world. The popular wrestler and actor, John Cena was also amongst the invitees to the 'wedding of the century'.

John Cena shares he was starstruck by Shah Rukh Khan

Recently, the legendary WWE wrestler sat for an interview with ANI and spoke about his time in India, when he arrived to take part in Anant and Radhika's wedding ceremony. John discussed how he was starstruck by Bollywood's Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan, and his experience of trying spicy Indian food. Sharing how SRK was empathetic and kind towards him, he said:

"It was just such an emotional moment to be able to shake a person's hand that affects your life so drastically and tell them specifically what they did. He was amazing. He couldn't have been more empathetic and kind and sharing. It really was wonderful. It was wonderful. I was awestruck, starstruck. It was fantastic."

John Cena recalls how SRK's TED Talk had impacted his life

In the same conversation, John disclosed how a TED Talk by Shah Rukh impacted his life and left him inspired. The 47-year-old discussed that King Khan's speech helped him orchestrate a change in his life and since then, he has been able to recognise all the jackpots in his life. John was quoted as saying:

"He (Shah Rukh) did a TED Talk that found me at the right time in my life, and his words were beyond inspirational to me. They helped orchestrate a change in my life. And since that change, I've been able to recognise all the jackpots that I've been given, and been grateful and worked hard to make sure I don't waste them."

John Cena shares his experience of trying spicy Indian food

Meanwhile, the legendary WWE wrestler also opined about the food at Anant and Radhika's wedding ceremony. John mentioned that the food was fantastic and he would like to come back to India once again to try some more Indian delicacies. Sharing that the level of spice in the food which was served at the wedding was enough for him, John added:

"The Ambani wedding had its fair share of cuisine, but they also did Indian food and Indian street food very well. The food was fantastic. I had a short stay, which means I would like to go back and try some Indian food. The level of spice was just enough for me, just enough to break a small sweat. So, I can't wait to try to test my spice meter when I come back."
