Juhi Chawla, who has crowned the Miss India beauty pageant, had won hearts with her pretty face and spot-on comic timing back in the 90s. Her sparkling eyes, a million-dollar smile and curly hair had made her one of the most loved actresses of her generation. She has proved her acting prowess in movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Darr, Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke, Ishq and many more. The actress had broken the stereotype of a pretty face incapable of tickling people’s funny bones.
She had even worked during her first pregnancy in 2001and had set an inspiration for many would-be mothers. However, recently the film’s director revealed how Amitabh Bachchan had saved Juhi and the movie from getting stalled. On the personal front, Juhi Chawla had tied the knot with a once-married man and the owner of Mehta Group, Jay Mehta in 1995. Together they are proud parents of two kids, Jahnavi Mehta and Arjun Mehta.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Suneel Darshan, the director of the movie, Ek Rishta- The Bond Of Love recalled the time when the lead heroine of the film, Juhi Chawla had trooped off for a holiday as she had got to know about her first pregnancy before the shoot of the film in 2001. Juhi was playing the character of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter in the movie. Further in the interaction, Suneel shared that they had decided to complete Juhi’s shots before her baby bump started showing. However, at that time, ‘Big B’ of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan was busy shooting for the film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. But, Amitabh had come as a saviour for Juhi as he had said he would complete shooting for K3G by 7 PM every day and would shoot till 2 AM with Juhi for Ek Rishta- The Bond Of Love. Suneel can be quoted as saying:
"As a result, we completed the film in 4 months; it was supposed to be shot over a period of 11 months otherwise. If you carefully see the film, Juhi's baby bump is showing."
After which, Suneel had started rolling with shifts that used to begin at 2 AM in the night. He also mentioned that Juhi had delivered her first baby, Jahnavi Mehta by the time of post-production. Thanking Amitabh Bachchan for his kind gesture, Suneel said:
“And, towards the end, we had to reduce her presence a bit in one or two scenes. At the post-production time, she had delivered and put on some weight. But that's okay. It went off very smoothly. She was destined to play that role. Mr Bachchan deserves a special thanks once again."

Earlier, in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Juhi Chawla had spilled the beans on why she had kept her wedding with her husband, Jay Mehta hush-hush, at the initial stage of her marriage. Juhi had stated that she was scared of losing her career and had said:
“At that time, you did not have the internet and you did not have cameras on every phone, so you could do it that way. I was just about established and doing well. That’s the time Jay was serenading me and I was afraid of losing my career just when I had kind of got there. I wanted to carry on and this seemed the midway.”
On the work front, Juhi Chawla was last seen in Sharmaji Namkeen opposite late actor, Rishi Kapoor.
