Juhi Chawla is one of the most popular Bollywood actresses from the 90s. She has been a longtime friend, business partner, and co-star of Shah Rukh Khan. Juhi witnessed the initial struggles of SRK before he made his way toward superstardom. She recently appeared at the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the state, where she shared unknown details about the early hardships faced by Shah Rukh when he entered Bollywood.
Juhi Chawla is one of the closest friends of SRK in Bollywood. The two acted in several films between the 90s and early 2000s. At the same time, they co-own their Indian Premier League team, Kolkata Knight Riders. Although the two haven't worked together for a long time, it has not faded their bond. Juhi shared that the Chennai Express star didn't have a home when he came to Mumbai, and she didn't know where he stayed. However, he easily coordinated with the team and had meals with them. Moreover, he used to do 2-3 shifts to earn more. She was quoted as saying:
"I remember Shah Rukh those days didn't have a home in Mumbai. So he used to come from Delhi. I don't know where he stayed. He used to have tea with the unit (the film crew), eat with the unit, and blended in the unit seamlessly. He also did 2-3 shifts then. He was doing Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992) with me, Dil Aashna Hai (1992), and another film with Divya (Bharti, Deewana, 1992). He was very driven."

Juhi Chawla shared an interesting anecdote from their past when Shah Rukh Khan had a black Gypsy. However, the vehicle was taken away because he could not pay one of his EMI or something else. SRK was upset over the incident and came on set in a dejected mood. At that time, Juhi motivated him, saying he would have several more cars one day. She fondly said that Shah Rukh still remembers what she said, and it has come true. The Pathaan actor now owns several luxury cars and a huge sea-facing bungalow, Mannat.
Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh's first film together was Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. At that time, SRK was relatively new in the industry. So, the film's producer, Vivek Vaswani, described how he looked similar to Aamir, Juhi's first co-star. However, when she first met him, she was disappointed because he was thin and had a dusky skin colour unlike Aamir. However, Shah Rukh worked hard to improve himself, and she had a great time working with him.
