Kajol has been one of the finest actresses of her generation. She has swooned millions of hearts back in the 90s with her charismatic looks and terrific acting skills. With so many years having gone by, she has definitely made some impressive contributions to the film industry and even continues to do so. Currently, she is riding high on her professional front with her back-to-back releases, Lust Stories 2 and The Trial-Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhokha. And, during a recent promotional event for the prior, Kajol opened up on some hilarious BTS revelations while shooting one of her iconic films, Dillagi.
In her recent interview with Radio Nasha, Kajol recalled one of her memorable films, Dillagi, opposite Saif Ali Khan, and revealed a hilarious anecdote about the same. She explained that she is unable to portray sensuous expressions and actions, and portray sexiness and shame on screen. Thereafter, she recalled how during the shooting of her song, Hothon Pe Bas Tera Naam Hai with Saif Ali Khan in the film, the duo got scolded by their choreographer, late Saroj Khan as they simply laughed away during the entire filming. In her words:
“There are two things, the word sexy and the word sharam, I can’t relate with these emotions. When somebody tells me I have to bat my eyelids and act coy, I can’t comprehend it. I don’t understand the emotion, but if you give me a set of features to move in a particular way, I get that. You have to see how much Saroj ji wanted to slap us… on ‘Hothon Pe Bas…’ Saroj ji wanted to hit us. Saif and I couldn’t stop laughing. She’d say, you aren’t taking this seriously, you’re ill-mannered kids.”

One of the widely accepted notions in the film industry has been that an actor’s career goes down the minute they settle down in marriage. Kajol, too had to face the brunt of such beliefs when she decided to tie the knot with Ajay Devgn at the peak of her career. In a previous interview with IANS, Kajol spilt the beans on the same and revealed that her marriage was one of the toughest decisions she had taken. Moreover, she also revealed that joining the film industry in the first place, too was another of her tough decisions.
For the unversed, Kajol is the daughter of iconic filmmaker, late Shomu Mukherjee and yesteryear actress, Tanuja. And so, while everyone thought that her choice of entering the film industry was an obvious one, it was not so. While Kajol was apprehensive about the move herself, she had also been warned by her father about the perils of joining the industry. Recalling the same, Kajol mentioned:
"You’re never going to get rid of this paint on your face...Once you put it on, it’s on forever. I remember thinking to myself that no, that’s not true. I can take it off whenever I like. Of course, time has proved that he is right."

Fast forward to today, Kajol leads a perfect happy family with her husband, Ajay Devgn and their children, Nysa and Yug. But did you know that Ajay was not the first person in Kajol’s life? Well, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress herself spoke about the same in an interview with the Humans Of Bombay. Recalling the time when she did her first film, Hulchul with Ajay in the year 1995, Kajol revealed that she was dating some other person at that time, and Ajay too was with someone else. Nevertheless, with destiny’s plans, the duo fell in love with one another during the film’s shoot and eventually broke up with their respective partners.
